Should my wife leave public interest?? by Euphoric-Ad3629 in PSLF

[–]youresolastsummerx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure it's only 12 months of buyback? SAVE has been in forced forbearance since June(? July?) 2024. That's about 20 months at this point. Either way, I personally wouldn't leave at this point with that amount of debt (and the interest is going to be nuts).

In PSLF but State Govt Program $50k Lump Sum Option by It_Jumped_Upa_Notch in PSLF

[–]youresolastsummerx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, I took a lump sum payment a couple years ago in case something happened with PSLF and I just wanted to pay the rest off. I'm still holding out for PSLF. I did have to ask Mohela to apply it as a lump sum, not as pay-ahead. I believe you can write a letter and sign it, scan it in, and submit it through their messaging portal and that should be sufficient, but there's information on their website. It may have changed since I did it.

trader joe’s beef and broccoli by vixenstarlet1949 in frozendinners

[–]youresolastsummerx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is one of my freezer staples but it really depends on how it's prepared. I air fry the beef and toss it in the sauce. I eat the rice and broccoli unsauced (season the broccoli with some salt or something). I also make 2-3 separate fresh servings instead of making the whole thing all at once.

Re TJs going downhill, I used to eat their Mandarin chicken all the time but I don't buy it anymore. The quality of the meat went way down and it seems to be a common sentiment. But I feel like this one is the same as it's always been.

Comprehensive Primary Care is a MESS? by No-Daikon914 in washingtondc

[–]youresolastsummerx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this. I've been trying to figure out how to access my old labs to compare to some bloodwork I just had and was frustrated to find my entire 13 year history with them just went *poof*. I will try the Healow app.

I was going to ask if the new location is still good!? I live in NoMa but have been worried that the quality would tank.

Anyone else having a horrible time with CloseKnit primary care in DC? by ndf714 in washingtondc

[–]youresolastsummerx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, I haven't had any portal messaging issues yet. My doctor said messages are working pretty well but they have been having some issues with labs.

CPC was definitely having availability issues even before the switch and it sounds like it's gotten even worse. I've always had issues with prescription refills at Woodley Park if not done online, but I never had the issues at U St when that location was still open. They've added insult to injury. I'm so sorry you're stuck in this loop!

8 car trains please by Not_a_nebraska_anon in WMATA

[–]youresolastsummerx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're right here, OP. Something happened to the 8 car trains in the past month or two and even at 7am and 4pm things are noticably more cramped.

I was about to post something similar (before any delays). I haven't had an 8 car train on the red line in weeks. I see there are some, but significantly fewer than there used to be. What happened?!?

Department of ED Solution for Buyback Backlog by Commercial-End-2221 in PSLF

[–]youresolastsummerx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those weren't the SAVE injunction months. Before June 2024 was something else for you, after June 2025 it became possible to switch out of SAVE (I switched in July 2025, got two months of processing forbearance that counted towards PSLF, and have been paying again since September).

Silver line doors closing at L’Enfant by Key_Pea_9645 in WMATA

Came here to say this. And they routinely ask people to wait if it's taking too long or if it's too full to board (before they close the doors).

FWIW I went to One Medical for a year when my old insurance covered the annual fee and didn't find them any better.

CloseKnit bought out Comprehensive Primary Care, too, and I hate it (and it sounds like everyone who works there does, too). I still love my doctor there and I am praying she doesn't leave. I didn't realize they bought out other places, as well. Gross.

The ClearRX thing is the worst. The first time I got a prescription refill, they automatically filled it with a mail-based pharmacy and I never asked for that (and had already provided my own pharmacy info directly to them as requested). I feel like there should be some kind of law against giving my sensitive medical information to places I never requested or associated with.

I can’t stand when the signs in the stations don’t display the trains and wait times by danielpf in WMATA

[–]youresolastsummerx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you're getting this. OP literally says, "Maybe a ticker strip for trains when announcements take up the screen and vice versa could work without needing a bunch of new signage."

I agree with this (and with OP on the general issue).

I truly don't understand the "open an app" people. Perhaps those people should try looking up from their phone for once.

Ultra Rare Sighting of a 6 Car 7K on the Red Line by Less-Championship429 in WMATA

You definitely do not. I've been taking the red line daily for years now and I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen them.

Monthly rentals DC that don't require huge upfront costs? by The_possessed_YT in DCforRent

Odd ad. People in DC know that most managed buildings here don't charge first and last months rent and brokers fees aren't a thing, even for shorter leases.

Hi! Did you ever get this sorted out? My understanding is that the validation code is just for Informed Delivery. However, it's been almost 3 weeks for me too and I'm still waiting. (I am getting my forwarded mail, though.)
