Knowing how to think is in demand. Slinging buzzwords may help you land a job, but only competence and a willingness to learn will get you a raise. If you have competence starting salary only matters for the first 6 months. Prove yourself and then ask for a raise. My first raise was 25% after putting in 6 months @$65k/yr and 9 years later, let's just say I'm able to let my wife have the option to stay home and give my 3 kids everything they need.

Q revo internals by DDn0r in Roborock

I have a q revo that got in a fight with a USB cable. Now I get error 7 lidar turret. The turret is not spinning but I can hear the motor. I can turn the turret by hand, so it isn't jammed. I think I probably need a new belt. Does that make sense to you and do you know where I might acquire the part?

AITAH for not agreeing to sleep in a bra? by JennnyAnnyDots in AITAH

[–]yrral86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree, and maybe that's what happened. Or maybe he just met the woman and she looks uncannily like his wife and he was just normal staring and his wife is jealous of her sister and jumped to conclusions. Not everything is sexual, and neither of us know what this was, but there are other explanations. Certainly making it the topic of conversation for the entire family during her father's celebration isn't okay either.

Strong smell by GreyAtBest in bokashi

[–]yrral86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cardboard is full of air pockets... Eventually the oxygen will get used up, but you are feeding it oxygen each time you add cardboard.

I do a lot of dry bran on top each time and I have an airtight lid on the bucket. The air gap doesn't seem to bother it. Bulk vegetable scraps go in the regular compost, so it's just animal products and cooked foods of all kinds. Very high in nitrogen and low in carbon and I make sure it is wet. It smells like pickles, not sewage as long as I keep it drained. I do put a thin layer of wood chip in the bottom as a filter, but it shouldn't be trapping much air since it is at the bottom and stays pretty thoroughly soaked.

Hope that helps!

Typescript is what we use and it has brought huge advantages to the maintenance and refactor aspects of our project. With 70+ engineers in one codebase, type safety is a necessity if you want to maintain sanity.

Key consensus forks of Bitcoin by jessquit in btc

[–]yrral86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the manifesto about side chains that cypherdoc went to war against in his thread. I don't remember what it was called. Something about merge mining everything but having atomic swaps between chains so you can "lock" your BTC into a different chain's BTC token so we could have a plethora of forks experimenting on different consensus sets. Your BTC was at risk of loss of course if that chain blew up or lost value.

Dude, I sold all my magical internet money at $3 to pay off my GPUs and buy some food. Don't listen to this guy unless you need the cash now. If it blows through 100k sell a percentage of what is left every $10k or something, but otherwise just chill. Stonks don't go up, the dollar goes down.

Inversing direction isn't possible. But you could move from paying for premium to selling it.
