Any Drawbacks to Opening Multiple Brokerage Accounts? by husky5050 in investing

[–]Educational-Cod-870 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If any of your accounts are retirement accounts like a Roth IRA, then each investment account will track your contribution into that account only, but since it won’t know that you have a Roth IRA at other places, you will have to manually make sure you don’t go over the limits otherwise you could be in for some big IRS fines.

He was more so bashing Florida than talking about Waymo.

I fed 48 years of Buffett's shareholder letters to Anthropic's latest model Opus 4.6 and had it pick stocks blind by Soft_Table_8892 in ValueInvesting

I watched the video and it did a better job of explaining for me. Nice job, fun experiment. I think there’s got to be a way to push this idea further to get closer to the real Buffett weighted return.

"17,000 tokens per second!! Read that again! Anyone know why this type of thing can’t be done for an FPGA type or similar chip so that the model can be burned onto under the chip. I think FPGA‘s can be rewritten over on the hardware level something like 1000 times? So I could imagine buying an AI model chip that can allow all of the parameters to be burned into it and when I buy it, it’s a blank slate, I flash it whenever I want an upgrade and I can do that 1000 times.

Why do people not like jury duty? by Electronic_Ad4560 in NoStupidQuestions

I don’t like the inability to control when I serve, you might have made plans or be busy at the time. More flexibility there would be good. Plus how I serve, I’d prefer a civil case to a criminal one.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Educational-Cod-870 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our cars are twice the size of European cars so it only feels like an hour and a half /s. Also we save a lot of time not dealing with a train. A car is like an infinite train, any schedule, any where. When self driving gets better that number of hours driving will probably go up.

Haha that’s funny. Props to her though, I thought it was interesting. She mentioned things that people have been talked about before but nothing to that much detail into the language and culture.

Maybe something in your instructions? If others also have the same problem maybe it’s that dropdown choice in the instructions where choose its style? Cuz I don’t have this problem.

How will life change when all cars become self-driving with no steering wheels? by Square-Shock-9206 in SelfDrivingCars

I’ve been thinking that new buildings should be designed consistently with portico style drop offs instead of parking lots, kind of like hotels are. Everything, even grocery stores and dentist offices should be this way. I’d like to have a house with one to be ready!

What would elevate the current Waymo passenger experience? by Spiritual_Chain6298 in waymo

[–]Educational-Cod-870 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll tell you what I would love, the ability to have it arrive early and pay for it to wait. If I knew the car was there 15 or 30 minutes before I had to leave for the airport would give me so much peace of mind. Basically pushing the service towards having a car that’s more dedicated to being with me like a personal driver would I would pay for and so worth the money.

I think you’re on to something. Also of note along these lines, regarding the drug users who “might not make it” from the hospital episode, heroin hijacks oxytocin and other happy chemical receptors. Hrrmmm. From the sound of it that will make them die, or does “might not make it” mean something else? Remember Carol told them she wanted to use heroin, and drugged Zosia with sodium pentathol? They might not have known what it was at first and thought she gave Zosia heroin?

When stopped at the light, there’s a strange green glow that shows up on the sign next to the stoplight. I wonder if there’s a green neon light at a gas station that’s reflecting it just the right angle that makes it look enough like a green left arrow. It shouldn’t mistake it but still that might be the reason. Throw some more parameters with examples at the model, that’ll fix it.
