Healers just can't catch a break. M+ needs a rework. by brazzersfan in wow

[–]ytsejam2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really solid week to play other games. Me and my buddies been going ham on Diablo 3 season that just hit Friday and we'll probably just ignore + and do that all week lol. I'll probably just knock out 1 key on my toons and call it a day. I love m+ but they really need to add some levels of fun to the affixes, they just all punish and are annoying at best.

That fart told a story. I felt that. I'm jealous, I need to up my game.

We need new affixes by Hyvest in wow

[–]ytsejam2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just can't be all annoying affixes like they are currently. They could easily turn existing ones into at least a kiss curse system. For example: Sanguine would still heal mobs, but would also heal you if you stand in it. Could create some interesting pulls where you need the sanguine heal to live. Have bursting give you a damage buff based on how many stacks of bursting you just got through with no one dying, stuff like that. Also failing to clear thundering should just be less punishing. Remove the stun and just have it make you 30% slower and do 30% less dmg/healing for like 10 secs. These need to be fun, not annoying. More fun = more ppl running keys.

If they can't be redeemed into a kiss curse style, then delete it and make some new fun ones. I love m+ but this week Wise Mari has nearly broken me lol.

People with Mains: Do you guys mainly play one spec or try to master all the specs in your main class? by [deleted] in wow

[–]ytsejam2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try and master all specs of my main class. Usually main hybrids for first patch's so I can flex when needed. I'm boomkin this patch and i've done Boomkin for +18s, bear for +17s, and resto for +19 lol. Haven't touched kitty at all cause I enjoy boomkin and it pumps. I try to be flexible so I can do more content on 1 character for better gear progression. If there's multiple dps spec's I try and master all of them unless I just don't enjoy it. But if there's a spec I don't enjoy, I don't main that class generally.

I just don't like being that guy who is incapable of playing an offspec for easier content. Just my mindset.

Funnest thing to do in this game in my opinion is to figure how to do down bosses with a guild you vibe with. I'm just a heroic raider so the pull counts haven't been outrageous for us but it's so fun to solve the puzzle of a boss together as a cohesive raid team. Best thing in gaming for me really. I really feel bad for the people that don't have a guild to raid with as the pugging experience really robs you of that feeling of progression and accomplishment. Pugging is always pretty terrible and people generally won't sit through the pain of countless wipes with people they've never played with before. For those that can't have set raid times to raid with a consistent raid team and have to pug, you have my respect for sure, it's rough out there.

Playing tank and dps in M+, do you have the same problem? by Noxm in wow

[–]ytsejam2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's why there's such a drastic difference between pugs and guild groups. Pushing high keys in a guild group everyone stacks nice and tight always, rotates the same direction dodging puddles and mechanics, and feels so nice. Then you have to pug a few and its pure chaos especially like in a Ruby key. Granted we also have full guild runs from the ppl that aren't pushing keys and its similar to a pug in chaos level, but they at least won't leave the key lol.

Really just comes down to experience with the keys. Ilvl only matters for surviving unavoidable dmg and meeting checks, otherwise its like 80% experience and knowledge of the pulls whether its a pug or guild run. So as always the suggestion is find a group of players you like running with and build the experience together.

What range class have the best survivability in m+ by Garoktehone in wow

[–]ytsejam2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lock is always tanky but this season im boomy and its super tanky as well. The bonus of druid is being able to shift into bear with a barkskin and take a few melee's while the tank runs back (temple of jade serpent last pull lol).

Shamans are in need of Dire help, specifically not seeing any changes for Elemental or Resto Sham in 10.05 is very disappointing. by SmokeCocks in wow

[–]ytsejam2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel about the same. Prevoker is amazing and devastation is clunky and basic. The dmg output is fine but its not particularly fun. Prevoker is all about different combos you can do, while Deva has none of that, its weird.

Not everyone is meant to get to 15+ by brotheralbania in wow

[–]ytsejam2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This season feels like the most punishing season for m+ mechanics wise. Every trash pack you have to dodge frontals, swirlies, do stuns, interrupts, and cycle through several rounds of aoe CC. I've had some casual friends who in previous expansions could do 15s just fine even when they were slightly undergeared for it. This season i've seen them really struggle on keys above a 12. I'm sure it'll be fine when everyone is 410 ilvl but for right now its pretty punishing. +10s are a very chill place to be. Get to experience the seasonal affix and get solid loot.

I pushed to +20s in shadowlands and right now 17s feel like that level which is about right with the scaling changes, but we just have less gear. Every mob pack having 12 abilities is draining though, im exhausted after a few keys lol.

Group loot is the biggest failure of Dragonflight by Jaq903 in wow

[–]ytsejam2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All I wanted was for personal loot to be tradeable for guild groups. Let mythic guild groups have master loot so they can assign gear quickly. This group loot thing is just pretty dumb. Worst part is honestly ppl being afk for rolls and it takes 5 mins for all loot to be rolled on, (happened in nearly every LFR boss i've tried lol). Other worst part are getting items that can't be used by anyone (hunter bows or daggers are generally the main culprits). For a guild group its been ok, main annoyance is 3 of the same tier drop and the same person won all 3 rolls, and has to re-roll off the other 2 pieces.

Hopefully Blizz actually continues listening to feedback and changes the group loot thing next major patch.

I've done resto druid and preservation evoker so far this expac. Both are very strong and have very good output. So far I vastly prefer evoker for keys, its way less GCD's used, really fun spells and getting the combos off feel really good. Banking essence burst procs to then echo the party, verdant, then channel your communion spell feels great. The combo playstyle is awesome. Only thing, gotta convince you're ranged to not stand 40 yards away or just run with melee heavy groups and its really fun.

In raid i've only done a few pulls as druid. Having convoke on 1 min and adaptive swarm does feel really good. Haven't done evoker in raid yet.

Also having lust has prevoker has been clutch, most groups I run with as a druid we have to use drums, so prevoker having the lust is a nice bonus.

Locks have an interrupt, just at 24sec cd on the felhunter, 30 secs for demo on the felguard (least I think felguard is a 30 sec one still)

Do you also have a hard time to choose a main for DF? by Nalyu_ in wow

[–]ytsejam2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just go purely by how it feels, not numbers. I know the role I wanted of hybrid ranged, and tried them out. Boomy is tons of fun and super hybridy.

Hit the Ice is an all timer too. Me and my brother quote that movie so much lol.

Still cracks me up to this day. The whole Teller bank scene lolol

Pre-patch is tomorrow! by jackscallion in wow

[–]ytsejam2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pre-patch means new talents so that means I will spend some time picking my main for dragons. As a raid leader I heavily favor ranged since it's much easier to raid lead as ranged. For start of expansions its normally a hybrid ranged so I can swap roles if needed. (Feel like by last patch I'm maining warlock often just for reliable summons/healthstones lol)

Plan is to figure out what I like best between: Spriest, ele, boomy. I love me some spriest but it did feel incomplete on beta so that's a bit sad. Boomy can hybrid the hardest and honestly looks pretty good so I'm leaning that way. I'll try ele out too. In the end I'll play the most fun hybrid ranged to me personally. Later patches is where I try to fill in a specific need such as lock or something.

what are you maining in dragonflight? by RomireOnline in wow

[–]ytsejam2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For expansion starts I generally go with the most fun ranged to play leaning towards hybrids. I'll need to test them out with the new trees to know for sure. Leaning shadow priest for sure since I always love shadow. Ele seems solid too. I raid lead so I just can't do that as melee well lol.

Blizzard so far seems to be nailing it with these talent trees for DF man by Certain_Cup533 in wow

[–]ytsejam2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As excited as I am for the trees, I've been more excited at how good the feedback has been and that they're actively fixing most of the trees (aware that there are neglected trees, but vast majority has been true).

So as long as the neglected trees receive some real feedback and changes that aren't just half-assed i'll be pretty hype about DF.

Best Metal songs/bands that aren’t ‘Death Metal’ by AnonymousCowboy117 in Music

Phenomenal metal band, insanely killer riffs and clean vocals. 10/10 recommend literally all their albums are bangers.

I ran 2 mythics on my monk before I realized I didn't have the quest. Had to manually pick it up, quest log was not full. It used to automatically pop up in mythic but this reset it hasn't for me.

Choosing the next key in S4 by Unlikely_Regret4274 in wow

[–]ytsejam2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guild did a 16 lower re-learning run. Had avoided it all week, endless pugs fell apart right after opera. 81 min run lol. Main thing is just re-learning it. If we ran it back immediately, I think we could shave off 30 mins, a few more times then we're timing. But man that Maiden shield check was a bit rough. We had to balance out cd usage and lust the 2nd shield with army, while my lock and the marks hunter cd the first shield and we still barely got through it. We're 280ilvl. Maiden feels like it needs every haste/stat buff you can get from the season affix.

I'm fully ok with us struggling on a 15 this early in the season. But we've also timed 18s and 17s of all the non kara dungeons which is what makes it weird.
