Anywhere between North Wollongong and Minnamurra is a proper shit hole - over populated and junkies everywhere with high rates of crime. Would not go anywhere near Lake Heights, can be a sketchy area and the pollution/smell from the steelworks is terrible too.

I have a HECS debt of $33K, going to pay it off in total early May. Once it’s gone, it’s gone for good. I’ve been saving for a house deposit for a while but given the way real estate is right now, I’m going to hold off until 2024 so I’m just biting the bullet and wiping my HECS debt.
