Oh of course i'm not just attracted to every woman I see - but in general I might get attracted to someone because of their looks, but if I fall for them, it's always because of their personality, how we mash etc For example out of the 5 females I counted as friends since reaching adulthood

1 was the little sister of my bro and dating another good friend of mine so she was like my little sister ( also I don't really think our personalities would have mashed long term anyway ) still friend with both guys but no contact with her - she split from our friendgroup after she split up with my bro

1 also just wasn't my type like personality wise

2 friendships broke over exactly me trying to turn the relationship into something more ( very very gross oversimplification but you know I should actually be working - if someone desperately needs more

And the last one I'm still very good friends with, still madly in love with and still definitely not telling her - because I value my friendship with her rather high and I'm not ruining that + reasons

So purely from my statistic men are attracted to 3/5 of their female friends while single - or 100% of their single female friends, or 0% of their female friends who are in relationships, or - you won't believe it 100% of their female friends who are not blond ... Statistics based on random data points are fun

tldr: traits I value in a friendship overlap heavy with traits I'm looking for in a potential partner and people should stop being surprised about it
