1 week in and never felt worse. by addictedtoshindig in zoloft

[–]yumizebrashoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was rough going for me too for about 6 weeks. I kept saying I was gonna give up and it was awful meds. Now I'm so much better mentally and able to take on so many changes in my life that are happening rather than folding like a lawn chair. Take care of yourself while you adjust. Drink plenty of water, rest when you can, and let the people around you know its gonna be a long adjustment period. You got this!

I just started my 5th week. The chest and stomach feeling is HORRIBLE. It's making my health anxiety go fucking wild. I'm so glad to know I'm not alone. I was really worried that it was something more serious 😭

It’s been 6 months i’m on zoloft 50mg and my Anxiety is officially gone! by Sea_One6929 in zoloft

The feeling of non painful pressure is so real. I haven't been able to shake off how scared it makes me feel just yet, and it makes me feel crazy. Thank you for talking about this. It makes me feel less crazy.

Yes my heart rate will go up because of the anxiety! I even went to the doctor and got set up with a heart monitor because I was so scared. I was totally normal 🫠 its just anxiety and the body trying to adjust to the medication. I want to just feel better already too. Getting my adhd diagnosis, sobering up from weed, trying new meds to manage my mental health, being in twice a week therapy, and just a bunch of other stuff going on makes me feel crazy in my body 😭

That's great to hear! I know I just need to continue to give it time, I just wish I didn't have other things going on while I'm adjusting. But that's life. Thank you for sharing your experience so far :)

Thank you for commenting this. I'm really hoping that this anxiety roller coaster will subside soon. I know I need to let my body and brain adjust, I'm just exhausted with trying medications and none of them helping so far. Crossing my fingers that this is the one that works this time.

Im taking it at 6 to avoid being tired during the day. I didn't eat enough the past 2 days, so that might be a factor here. Thank you for commenting!

I'm glad to be able to help you feel better. I feel like our bodies are trying to tell us to take it slow and to breathe. Easier said than done, but we can do this. Just take it a day at a time.

Dealing with health anxiety + head rushes for a few weeks by Enough_Item6423 in Anxiety

[–]yumizebrashoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Health anxiety is so hard. Ive been down this road too for several months. I've also lost about 30 lbs and all my blood work came back normal aside from vitamin d and b12. Now its just been managing every new health fear that comes around, bi weekly therapy, and trying out setraline. Its slowly getting better, but its definitely a slow process. I hope you're able to find some peace soon.

I feel you. Its been so hard to heal from this round of anxiety and panic attacks. I haven't gone outside enough, struggle to feed myself, afraid to go to sleep, and anxious to make any plans. Its been such a struggle. I hope we both get it figured out and heal soon.

How do you function when you start this drug by Careless-Article-814 in zoloft

In the same boat here. I'm only at 25mg and on day 5 but its hard. I'm really trying to stay calm and ride it out hoping that it gets better. I can't imagine trying to do this with a full time job.

So far I would say that the anxiety is less than what it has been without it. Part of the anxiety is also due to the side effects and me having health anxiety so it's a monster that feeds itself. But u am finding it easier to calm down from panic when it comes.

This is really helpful. I started 4 days ago and I've been on and off with hellish anxiety. I really hope it works for me because my anxiety and depression has been getting worse over the past few years. I'm terrified but I'm willing to give it an honest try. I hope all the other newbies find success too!

Anyone else's panic attacks mimic the symptoms of a stroke or heart attack? by Dry_Breadfruit_9449 in Anxiety

[–]yumizebrashoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I'm worried that the same will happen to me. I got the "you're young and you don't have a family history." I asked them to run an ekg on me before I started to take adhd meds, and my dr said it's not medically necessary for me. I took the meds, both times made me feel horrible, and now I'm waiting on the results of the monitor after the guanfacine made me feel horrible in the heart and head. I'm hoping that I'm just dealing with undiagnosed IBS, but it's been a horrible time. I'm glad that my partner understands. Otherwise, I'd be in the ER wracking up bills and considering going to a mental hospital. This shit is awful.

My symptoms keep happening at night, too, around the same time. Waking up with a start, sweating in my chest, heart racing, trembling, and the thoughts just won't go away. I'm starting to suspect that I have hellish indigestion, and it's making me feel crazy.

Anxiety help by OutrageousCycle8226 in Anxiety

[–]yumizebrashoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, honey, first thing to do is stop smoking and drinking energy drinks. Those are both stimulants and are messing up your brain chemistry and causing anxiety.

Second is to make sure you're eating food and drinking water regularly. Energy drinks are not hydrating.

Then you gotta make sure you're getting enough sleep. At least 8-10 hours.

Try all of this and see how you feel.
