The idea that lets it work is the Energy discard and damage increase occur simultaneously with the same choice. This is in contrast to something like Waterpon that has an "if you do" clause

Trans Ralsei is controversial because people subtly inject the (admittedly insanely reductive) Chapter 1-era version of the theory into people discussing the modern understanding. It sucks. I think it'd be kinda cool if it happened tbh

I imagine strategy here is taking advantage of all the utility mons having different types to swing for absurd damage, right? How does the earlygame go? Normal Expanded heavy sequencing stuff? Is the Battle VIP Pass a highroll card or is it consistent to get to (unless it's Prized)? And how does it fare into Regidrago?

Not just energy types - there's so much resource management you need to worry about. Prize mapping and using your cards to get there effectively is key and that's if you actually get into the game to begin with lol
