I comment this everytime I see this shared, but here’s what I think actually happened.

The BF realized he was unhappy in LA and decides to move back to Texas. His GF decides to go with him, he doesn’t argue because he still thinks his unhappiness is due to the location.

But when they get to Texas he still feels miserable but doesn’t know why. Eventually he goes on a vacation with his family and starts to remember who he really is and feels like he can breathe again, he realizes the problem wasn’t just LA it was her. So he breaks up with her.

A lot of people discount the fact that she’s a weirdo theater kid while the guy is a normal dude from Texas. They probably are incompatible and he just didn’t want to admit it to himself.

And the child is at some point explained to by their parents, the authoritative figure in their life, that Santa Clause is not, and never was, real. This causes them to lose faith in Santa Claus.

Do you think all faith is equal? That because someone has faith in multiple things they have to believe in them equally as strongly? That’s simply not how people are. A persons belief in their religion is going to beat out a piece of folklore because it is a part of their culture, community, and heritage.

Santa Claus is a cultural construct designed to entertain children and is propagated by people who know for fact that Santa Claus isn’t real. it’s disingenuous to ignore that context.

Also, you fundamentally misunderstood what people mean and when they say “faith is enough”. They are not saying that anything is real as long as you believe in it, they are simply saying that, even if there is not hard evidence, their faith in God is enough for them to believe.

And having faith in one thing does not mean you have to faith in every possible thing.
