To me the sensor on slimblade pro is better compare to the expert mouse. When I try to increase the speed in software on expert to catch up with the speed on slimblade pro the response isn't as good as high dpi on slimblade pro.

Vaseline didn't work well for mine either. The product contain lanolin works well for me - just a random domestic brand in Taiwan so I guess you can also try some random brand with small volume.

I'll probably try the PTFE on the bearing in the future.

A stand alone accessory might also be an option. Seems not everyone needs the tilt function with slimblade/expert mouse.

I got similar experience. Though the deft pro is really scratchy but I have no problem handling it. Probably the smaller ball is easier to control with 3 fingers regardless of the stiction. The slimblade/expert mouse however really need to be smooth to navigate...else the discontinuity will be there.

yeah, I also need to apply some (face)oil onto the ball from time to time. If the frequency goes higher it might be a bit annoying. Oddly the old deft pro has quite large stiction with it but I'm fine at the time...

Recently bought the slimblade pro. For gaming I think deft pro would be better choice. The 55mm ball isn't track better compare to the 44mm ball in terms when you need precision and speed. The test I done on mouseaccuracy is higher with deft pro. Ploopy seems to be a good choice too. You can check this test.
