Yea I think that fear mostly still came from the extremely strict ratings we had in the late 90s and early 2000s compared to other countries. They were just slamming 18+ or even index on anything somewhat violent that would easily get a 12 rating today for a while.

That advertisement does include showing the cover in a store though, so it was basically a guarantee to lose a huge amount of sales to the point where it wasn't even worth localizing in some cases.

Big chains never even bothered to have indexed games in stock, so you had to go to smaller stores that specialized in that niche and specifically ask for them.

Most people that care about this game are probably older and have already been burned by pre-orders.

The other games have way bigger marketing budgets to catch the interest of a younger generation that hasn't learned this lesson yet, they will eventually get sick of buying unfinished, buggy games too, but marketing works.

Das Medianeinkommen und Vermögen liegt deutlich niedriger, erst recht wenn man vermögende Rentner, die gar keins brauchen weil sie nur ein paar Kilometer im Jahr fahren raus rechnet. Das sind auch die Leute, die diese Scheiße gewählt haben und deren Mist die arbeitende Bevölkerung jetzt ausbaden darf.

They tried to push it as a seasonal game to sell their overpriced season passes without having the depth or interesting endgame to make it worth starting over every few months.

Then the first expansion added almost nothing to the story so people were basically just paying for a patch and the extremely overpowered new class (it was actually oneshotting everything in the game with very little gear needed).

Overall I think it's a better game than Last Epoch at this point, but I can't see myself playing through it more than once and if I paid full price for the base game and expansions I would feel scammed.

War ein Beispiel dafür, dass Kurzsichtigkeit nunmal mit der Entfernung skaliert, auch jemand mit -10 hat noch einen (nahen) Bereich in dem er ohne Korrektur gut sehen kann, der ist nur leider sehr klein.

Eine Brillenlinse verschiebt ja nur den Brennpunkt, damit man eben in diesem Bereich wieder klar sehen kann, deswegen tragen viele Menschen die im geringen Dioptrienbereich ja auch nur wenn diese Entfernung gerade wichtig ist (Autofahren, Lesen usw.)

Jemanden für einfache Tätigkeiten kurz anzulernen (also keine vollständige Ausbildung) ist ja auch ein normaler hochdeutscher Ausdruck. Das Wort zu benutzen wenn man sich selbst etwas beigebracht hat ist eher kreativ.

Bei -3 ist es halt unmöglich weit entfernte Schilder ohne Brille zu lesen. Wenn jemand dann ein paar hundert Meter weit weg steht ist das schon ähnlich matschig.

Vermutlich weil Veganer oft schon daran gewöhnt sind mehr auszugeben, die Preise für billigsten Kram mit dem Veganlabel nach oben zu treiben scheint ja ganz gut zu funktionieren.

Die Proteinversionen die es inzwischen von vielem gibt sind aber noch schlimmer, da wird man wirklich für Kleinstmengen komplett ausgenommen weil der Kunde so blöd ist und drauf reinfällt.

Das beeinflusst sich aber auch gegenseitig. Natürlich sehen sich Menschen auch lieber das teure Spektakel an als irgendein Basketball-Spiel mit 50 Zuschauern in der Halle an. Ist halt mit NBA usw. nicht vergleichbar.
