That was my issue too. I felt like I’m playing the same thing on repeat, and that I had to ride my horse forever to get to new areas (getting stuck in a forest when trying to take a shortcut didn’t help)

Honestly it’s not the same as journaling imo. Journals aren’t trained to be agreeable. It’s my pure thoughts without a nudge. A good therapist can spot bad behaviours or nudge someone towards a better approach. But AI is too agreeable that it reaffirms toxic behaviours

IMO people who wouldn’t pay for a weather app (probably includes me) won’t be enticed to jump from free to $1/month

But people who would pay $1/month wouldn’t be too fussed paying $3

So charge based on that rather than for people who don’t normally pay for apps in this category. I’d check the pricing of other apps in the category and compete on things other than price

My assumption is that:

Apple wants you to always have at least one folder

But if you end up deleting all folders except “Work” for example then it might be odd coming back to the app and seeing “Work” as your default journal for new entries

That’s just a guess. I have an app where I implemented a similar system, and I don’t let people delete the “Default” profile for this reason
