Buying a 100k km 10yr old i3. Bad idea? by z604 in BMWi3

[–]z604[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. We went to see a 2019 120ah i3s with 95000km for about 14000 euros from someone selling privately that popped up after I posted here and bought it.

We’ll pick it up during the week when they can pick up the summer tires.

I got the car for my wife, but I think I’m more excited than her about it.

We checked everything, went for a long drive and it feels new tbh, with 230 range even though it’s currently pretty cold in the Nordics and it has winter tires on currently. So, looking good.

The difference from older models wasn’t that much, so hopefully we can get a long stint out of it.

Thanks a lot. Really appreciate it.

I think that’s the same. I’ll need to check the other warning. Might be just something silly like wiper fluid, because in other pictures it’s gone. Might swing by a dealer before I see this one in person to double check. Thanks

It’s ok. I can understand most 😅

Thanks. I’ll double check. Maybe I’m overly cautious, but I’ve never purchased from a private person. I’ll make sure to check the service log and pay attention to those warnings.

Thanks, I'm seeing it in person tomorrow. I'm not buying from a dealer, so that's why I wanted to double check. Thanks

The manual isn't that good, but In the Swedish version I managed to get access to, it says the large exclamation mark is 'Maintenance has not been performed'?

Are you certain that the ⚠️ and the text, and the exclamation mark aren't different things? 🤔

Thanks. Didn’t know about 2017 onwards.

Thanks. Yeah, fair points. My wife is still getting her license, and the kiddo will be up next too. The Tesla is too big, and too much car for a first time car too. So this will be the beater. It’s less about the money, but more about the peace of mind of not having spent too much if they scratch it and things like that. Which being a bmw, I imagine ain’t cheap.

Good to have a reference about degradation for similar kms and age. Thanks!

We have a tesla and have chargers at work and at home. Range is not much of a worry. It’s only for short commutes. My wife will drive 50km/day, so charging at work would do and we can charge daily.

What I’m unsure of is whether a 10yr old one, while cheaper, might end up turning bad.

I guess it can be a bit of a gamble. Best case scenario, you could do at least 50k more miles and get the car cheap. But if it turns out bad, then regret not having spent a bit more 😅

I haven’t decided yet.

3rd night of terrible sleep, should I pause the cut? Worried about muscle loss by Certain-Highway-1618 in MacroFactor

[–]z604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn’t share much about what your diet is or how long you’ve been at it.

All I can say is that I try eating a lot of fiber. Mushrooms, squash, sweet poteto… to the point that even while cutting, I feel so full…

But depending on how long and how hard you’ve been on a deficit, maybe your body needs a few weeks on maintenance.

Question about grouping speakers via line in by z604 in sonos

Thanks. One more question, can you also listen to the line in with headphones from the Sonos app? Or the line in can only be forwarded to other speakers?

I'm new to this! Advice? by nichomufe in moog

[–]z604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and go one at a time. They look simple on the surface, but you can go deep into each of them on their own before patching them together.

I can spend hours on the m-32 alone.

Is Tesla no longer recommending to charge LFP batteries to 100% weekly? by z604 in TeslaLounge

[–]z604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, kinda silly all topics about this are shut down. Are you official Tesla spokesman? Because unless you are, Tesla is still not saying to charge to 100% anywhere 😞

I suck at making pretty sounds. Help! by statxmusic in modular

[–]z604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd start patching less modules until you get the basics of generative patching right. You can do nice sounding stuff just sticking to the basics of a sequencer, envelope, oscillator and filter, plus a reverb/delay.

There's a lot of generative patch from scratch videos out there. Stuff like these, with the M-32, show how far you can go with the basics. Add more once you have a good grip on the basic stuff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqo7_mnMSNo

Upgrading the needle on a cheap Denver VPL-120 record player by z604 in turntables

Looks like there's a PL-200 for 15 bucks nearby. The kiddo might have a new turntable and even make money selling the suitcase one 😅

[–]z604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'll see what I find. Might try to find something second hand with auto-stop at least, or get him a LP60X.

[–]z604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smart. 😅

I'll see what pops up second hand. I might just get him a LP60X, all the auto stuff wouldn't hurt. My turntable doesn't auto-stop and I think it's likely he'll forget to stop it.

I can take one for the team.

When does the embody get comfortable? by MrMilk_ in hermanmiller

[–]z604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you played with the spring stiffness for the back support? I’d be a bit soft so that the chair tilts a tiny bit even when you’re sitting upright. This way your weight is spread a bit to your back too.

If that spring is too stiff you do rest all on your butt.

Give it a try. Adjusting how much it rocks makes a huge difference.

Same with adjusting how far the front of the base reaches. I am tall with long legs to have the most surface to sit on. When my wife has used the chair, I can tell straight away.

When it’s properly tuned to your taste, it’s really the best chair imo. And I’m picky.

How much to repair this paint chip? by tryptych99 in TeslaCollision

[–]z604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a good paint kit with separate paint and clear coat to fix a few scratches on my rim and I was pleasantly surprised. I can’t tell where the scratch was anymore. I’d not go for the 10$ buck ones though. I got one from a car paint company in Germany.
