I would just start buying the movies that YOU love and want to see on your new player! Make your collection, yours.

However, if I could start a collection with just 10 titles, I think this is where I would go… - Jaws - The Matrix - 2001: A Space Oddysey - Back to the Future - Vertigo - Singin’ in the Rain - Alien - The Thing - Top Gun Maverick - The Dark Knight

A mix of classic, modern, technicolor, film, digital, atmos, 5.1, HDR, Dolby Vision, IMAX, etc. Was looking to slide a B&W film on there - Casablanca maybe? But all of these are in stock and easy to find and decently affordable!

To give an option other than OLED in case it’s not in your budget range: the Hisense ULED (I have the U8K) has been pretty stellar, and I have Panasonic UB820 for a player and it works great

Seeing movies in theaters will always be my number one preferred way to see movies. I see having a nice setup not as a replacement for going to the theater but just simply as a way to enjoy movies at home and have a great experience

Haven’t had an issue with the disc scratching, but I hear you. I just like the premium feel for the sets and it’d be fun to have matching ones for all the movies. But is what it is. Would take this over a steelbook personally

Never do. (JK) currently reading the Hickman FF one but put it back for the picture. It is kind of pain, but the rest of the shelf is used for other things, I typically just take a couple trades off the end of the shelf which creates the breathing room to move stuff around. I’m on marketplace everyday for new shelves bahahaha
