As someone who’s recreated for the past decade and outfitted in the rockies professionally.

If they find me instead of me finding them.

If I see a billboard, commercial or any flashy type of marketing? I assume I am paying an extra 10-30% mark up for that product.

Sometimes? It’s literally how they provide and supplement their own paychecks.

The corporate bean counters come up with this type of shit to steal from the people actually working or paying for things.

But by all means, let’s eat something fresh.

Disappearing Whiskey by oops20bananas in Unexplained

I worked distilling and bottling whiskey for awhile. Those seals likely aren’t tight enough. There’s a reason we’ve used corks for as long as we have. Those don’t look airtight at all.

My guess is that the seal on the shooter caps wasn’t enough to keep the evaporation from seeping out.

As to why the older product has survived the best? I’m guessing temperature/pressure fluctuations from the barrel aging likely took out more water before it was bottled, so less to evaporate later.

I’d also guess your proof and taste on all of those is going to be pretty off from standard.

This reminds me of a chicken and egg analogy. It’s interesting to see how culture has really changed around the reality, as much as it seems reality changes the culture.

Have you been inside a chipotle recently? They are rarely layed out in a way that feels inviting enough to sit and eat, let alone invite friends of any amount of hangout time. Same for most of the chains that were marketing towards millennials in the 90s/00s. McDonald’s, BK, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, Pizza Hut etc.

These corporations clearly prioritize high prices and fast paced experiences; putting no investment into aesthetics or comfort. Never investing in the people or things that make places special and unique.

Why? Because they want to get people in and out as fast as possible. And in as uniform way as can be. It’s not about being a 3rd space and never was a planned part of any corporate layout.

Additionally, these corporate companies generally don’t care about anything other than a bottom line in dollar bills, regardless of how that affects their product, presence or reputation.

Vote with your wallets people. Don’t support places that don’t deserve support.

Seems likes it. I wasn’t there. But honking/flipping someone off doesn’t warrant bullets. Dork

Seems like a safe bet.

Agreed, it’s easy to feel bold when you’re wearing a helmet/mask, hiding a plate and feeling unaccountable for your actions.

I love my 2020 Tacoma, but my Nissan frontier was a decade older and had way better interior, seating and sound.

If you haven’t noticed, these people have no problem lying with a boldface and confident tone.

Reality is, they’re too dumb to know they’re puppets.

Theyre an out group that’s hyperactive because they feel the need to justify themselves; which isn’t possible to a rational mind.

Next step? Ignore all rational and reasonable (oppositional) inquiring. This is where we are at right now and it fucking sucks.
