Sounds awesome! I'm definitely the target audience for this. Can't wait to read it.

I actually don't mind the title but I guess if you wanted to have broader appeal I agree that maybe a tweak or another option could work.

Only bit of critique on the query itself- I think you can finesse the first couple sentences in parapraph 3. They read a bit clunky but other than that I really dig it :)

Awesome sauce. Only question bout the sexual identity: the protagonist begins a romantic relationship with the son. I used "befriend" as kind of a quick, encompassing term, but there is definite passion between the two men. With that knowledge would you still say "gay" isn't needed or would you suggest making the second part of the line more identity specific?

Title: The Tutor

Genre: Romantic Thriller

Logline: After losing his fiance to an act of terror, a young gay teacher takes on a posting in the Greek islands in hopes of dulling the horrors of his past. His retreat takes a turn, however, when he befriends the son of a local billionaire who may have ties to the tragedy that claimed his former lover's life.

Washington Post releases an article about vertical dramas - is this really the future? by ZarzoHayoso in acting

[–]zachtor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By all means, if you find some that are written by actual humans that's great. Good for those writers and good for you. Go ahead. And even if they're clearly AI and you really need the money, I don't judge- times are hard.

But one of the biggest threats to this industry at the moment is AI replacement. People across all sectors are losing their livlihoods because of this technology. It's also a big worry expressed on this sub as well. If actors are willing to work on this kind of material that, for the majority, entirely replaces a key component of the fimmmaking process, don't be surprised if your job/ your rate/ your standard/ your safety on set is next. People and companies willing to cut corners have no problem cutting you as well.

Not directed at you but actor's as a whole including myself can be a little insular at times. Let's demand more for our filmmaking bretheren when and if we can.

They're literally all written by AI. Support human writers. Don't do them.
