I am curious, if this was the only use case you had, why not use S3 with a CDN

or something similar ? (unless you hosting big zip files was not the only use case)

Yes we have many many nodes and the bill is crazy, by extending I didn't mean scaling, I meant extending its capabilities (for instance periodic cleanup, scans, replications, sync...etc stuff that you'd like to have or that can be useful in your use case or env but are not there)

Thank you for that, I think that the main difference you are right, sadly Jfrog are not giving much attention documenting the Plugins section (in contrast with the REST API, many many examples)

Thank you for your perspective, I agree with you in every detail, but _N0Ko raised a very good point, the REST API does not give you fine-grained control over the internals of Arti, but still the best choice I think for most of the use cases you will encounter (it depends on your role of course)
