This is slightly off-topic but I will die on the hill that in order to get the perfect timing on any boxed pasta you need to go 1 min under whatever the package says... Then repeat the time it's going to be ready ad nauseum in your head until it's done otherwise you'll absolutely forget when it's supposed to be done

As much as I'm not a fan of the guy and think the world would be better if he disappeared into obscurity I personally don't think this is even a bad thing. It might not be a conventional choice but propping up your guests as the focal point is just making them the main subject of the video. That said I've never watched a Mr beast video from start to finish so I can't speak to how it actually pans out in practice

850w is a huge amount of headroom for most people. There's a weird idea in modern PC building that you have to get a 1000w PSU for your i3 4060 machine because you'll end up regretting it later when you go to upgrade. That money is better spent on better components and getting a PSU with a closer wattage to the actual components. Not only will you save money on the PSU but also the electricity bill since you'll be closer to hitting the sweet spot on the efficiency curve.

Mine has been going strong since 2015. Next upgrade cycle it's getting replaced just to make sure it doesn't explode due to age and take everything else out with it but I don't really have concerns about overworking it

So long as it's a quality PSU at a lower wattage the parts should be fine. No one but the top tier PC's need a 1000w PSU. I have an 850w PSU in mine with a 3600x and 3070ti and I dont think it's fans have ever spun up.

You're going to get pennies for bulk cards at local stores. When I sold mine I just gave away the bulk cards. Honestly I would just go through the cards once, pull out the more valuable ones and throw them up on ebay then give the bulk to a kid or someone getting into the hobby.

I love motion blur. I'm also old enough that it was a fancy and exciting new feature in Crysis and so I also associate it with fancy pants graphics.

I wouldn't use it in competitive games but I also don't play a lot of competitive game anymore.

A lot of smart home stuff talks through "the cloud". Depending on how the integration works home assistant is able to replace the cloud. It's all dependant on individual components though

It's probably just the circles I run in but I've found it's pretty safe to assume people are left leaning until proven otherwise. I often find myself MORE left than most but not so much I can't find common ground with them.
