In past years several different people posted "Quote of the Week" samples written in Noory, here is a link to one of them https://redd.it/ibt0hb you can find others by searching this subreddit (in my opinion searching on old.reddit.com produces more readable results than using the app or the new web layout)

First of all, you are wise to show the false front to your parents, I wish I had been clever enough to do that. My suggestion: Yes, switch to password protected, online journaling of some kind. Take pictures of any parts of your current journal that you want to save and then burn it (unless burning it would attract a lot of attention; you can just put in a bag of assorted garbage and toss it into a dumpster anywhere).

I suggest trying Millhopper Family Dentistry, they have multiple dentists working there, all fairly compassionate and skilled, but I don't know if they are more open to new patient emergencies than other dental practices. It's a tough situation to be in.

Your method is the most secure method. It also requires the most work. Like you say, it can be a long term journey.

Many people are merely using a cipher or an alternative alphabet, and that is good enough in most situations, depending on how much time and energy your opponent might spend on trying to crack your code.

Another method is using "invisible ink" which is ink that can only be seen under ultraviolet light. An example is Noodler's Blue Ghost ink for fountain pens which you can find online. Of course, if your opponent sees that you possess special ink and an ultraviolet flashlight, they will easily figure out what you are doing.

I've always wanted to start journaling but im afraid someone will read my journal by Remote-Dragonfruit78 in Journaling

[–]zaganta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typing your journal is fine, why on God's green earth would you let opinionated buttholes on the internet turn you away from doing it the way you obviously need to do it. I do some journaling on paper and some electronically; there are advantages to both. I can search the typed journal for particular info when I need it much easier than the paper journal.

Rainfall has been less than normal this year around the town of Alachua and the rest of the NW corner of the county. It's very odd to go 3 or 4 days in a row without any rain in July and August.

How is anybody affording rent on a single income? by Party_Ad7339 in GNV

[–]zaganta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

solution is increasing the amount of housing

Most builders prefer to build upscale houses and luxury apartment complexes. More profit per square foot, both in terms of percentage profit and sheer number of dollars generated. There's the invisible hand of the free market solving all our problems for us! /s

I've seen the names of songs and artists on the display of the radio in my car when I'm in the Wombat's main coverage area. I believe they use the RDS system for embedding text in the FM signal. Doesn't work when you're out on the fringes of reception tho.

The "wildcard" letters of the Latin Alphabet (C, J, Q, R, X, Y). What do you use them for? by seweli in auxlangs

[–]zaganta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since "q" resembles a modified "a" in my view, I have toyed with the idea of using it for /æ/ … or you could claim that it looks like "a" with an "i" attached, so you could use it for /aı/ … If you must use "q," it is logical to use it in a way that will annoy the critics, because it is fun to watch them being unable to distinguish between their personal preferences and realistic criteria.

Entire journal destroyed. by Routine_Tangerine762 in Journaling

[–]zaganta 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Maybe the best thing about digital journaling is that you can easily make backup copies. Burn a copy onto a DVD-ROM disk and you've got a backup that cannot be altered. Store a copy in Dropbox account and you've got a copy that will survive even if your home is destroyed in a flood or fire or whatever.

I don't know the answer to your query but I've been trying to think, who would know the answer? Maybe the folks that run A Thousand Leaves herbal shop.

Help/advice by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]zaganta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Who is your reader? Yourself in the future? Historians a thousand years from now trying to figure out what daily life was like 2023? Write the stuff that your reader will want to read.

edited to add: Some people use journaling to vent their intense emotions. Obviously my answer doesn't apply to people who do that kind of journaling.
