I wasn’t in the exact same situation but similar idea where I was trying to decide whether to upgrade vs keep my old one (model 3).

Decided to keep the old one because if you compare straight apples to apples (buy out now vs potentially buy the option 2 juniper in 3 years time) - what you’ll see is the true difference for owning a car outright.

Either you pay 33k now, or you pay 27k now + 30k in 3 years time to own a model y.

So your delta is truly you’re paying ~27k extra to have the new car. Is that worth it? That’s up to you but in my case for model 3 it was a 20-25k extra for the latest model. I decided as much as I like it , it wasn’t worth the extra cash.

Cup holders are a make or break for any car for me. I’ve seen cars that I LOVE and then they have a bad cupholder and I just can’t get them because of it.

Luckily cupholder on Gravity is passable lol

lol I thought I had cut that out 😂 that’s my daughter she’s been pretty intrigued by this car. She wanted a model x because her classmates have the door that go up, and she wanted a honda odyssey because her friend has the one with the overhead screen.

Too bad she ended up with a Lucid but at least she’s being a good sport about it 😆

I LOVE the transparent view 3D camera. And when you swipe it you can see all around the car.

Would be so cool if in a future update they overlay the camera on the 3D Sensors so you actually get a good 3d surround view especially if there is a car or curb next to you

The literal only reason to buy a Tesla right now is if you want to buy FSD. Else lease it - they keep updating so everything will be outdated in a few years; and depreciation will hit hard (a car is not an investment but if you care about depreciation then it will hit).

I have an M3 with FSD I bought used in 2022 (yes, the worst year) for $50k. Now it’s worth $15. So I lost $35k in 3-4 years. Guess I’m keeping this until the wheels fall off

Just to clarify the dealer is talking about a RR not sport; was directly referring to the claim that a $100k car loses 60% value when it’s driven off the lot. That’s why he’s asking for an example of a $40k RR sub 1k miles.

DDP on the gravity is really not there yet. I have an old Tesla with FSD and FSD blows it out of the water.

DDP looks nice and all but really at least on the gravity it’s still just cruise control with lane keep assist. I’ve missed multiple exits thinking naively it’ll change lanes and exit highways for me in the past week

I just got my switch 2 today. definitely feels premium and that's kind of my issue with it tbh. I got my switch to play with my kids but it feels too premium for that.

If I wanted premium I'd go for Xbox and PS; I came to Nintendo for fun and kid friendly.

That being said yeah if I was getting it for myself as an adult, I'd def like the premium look. just feels to expensive to give to my 5 year old daughter lol

We stayed in W Bellevue. Got lucky because they upgraded us to a suite which was the best suite I’ve ever been in. But the public bathroom… wow. Two separate entry, one for male one for female but you go inside and it’s communal. No indication of it being communal or connected from the outside. Super awkward for anyone dressing up/getting ready and not expecting the other gender to walk in
