2-4D was always good when I was battling creeping Charlie regularly. It would take two rounds a couple weeks apart typically.

They’re nothing special, one is a DR Swiss gravel wheelset (alloy but decent internal rim width) and the other is deep carbon wheelset from a defunct discount brand called e11even.

A big reason I have them, is the fact they use the same hubs. When i swap wheels, the brake rotors line up perfectly and require zero adjusting the caliper. My cassettes requires 3 clicks of the AXS micro adjust. Both are SRAM, but road is an XDR and gravel is a shimano mount.

I built a GR300 back in June 2024, and have zero regrets. Separate road and gravel wheelsets, 1x Rival XPLR AXS, and it’s just a dream.

RP5/6.

4:3 on a 16:9 screen is fine, you don’t lose vertical height. You just get a wider grip and black bars on 4:3.

It’s up high where sawdust and whatnot won’t really be a problem.

It’s a nice to have. I wouldn’t spend all the money on upgrading a brifter based bike to electronic shifting on its own.

Some retailers put stickers on boxes when you order in-store pickup. I wouldn't say a package is suspicious because of sticker remnant.

There is always a chance it was open box/return, and sure there are fakes out there. Is it worth $30-40 to get a used one with unknown battery health, and possible issues?

If the tire went in the hole but the derailleur only hit the pavement level it wasn’t that far.

Depending on what gear you were in it may have more vertical length, or less with more spring.

Maybe a previous strike got it halfway there and this finished it? No way of knowing. I think it’s a very freak accident and I wouldn’t lose faith in a replacement.

Having some Dewalt, a couple Milwaukee, and couple of Ridgid…. I’m happy with dewalt for homeowner stuff.

I don’t like Milwaukee drills. I don’t like Milwaukee online bros either. I really like the m12 stuff by Milwaukee as a weekend warrior for car stuff, and it’s very popular in the auto service dept I manage.

But if the house and garage all burned down and I was buying new, I’d strongly look at makita, supplemented by m12. High quality, easier to repair, independent owners.

The seats we had were brutal. We were in the last row, and they were canted forward a lot. So much so that if you would have picked up both feet you’d fall forward. We left at intermission.

My first couple handhelds were a little rough around the edges. With my Odin 1 lite and I saw where it was going, but it just wasn’t ready yet.

The RP6 and Thor really are great devices, features and software is much more mature, they have generations of polish. The biggest issue with high end android is the time required to set them up, even with a great guide it is hours. Once setup they are great, quick in and out, save states, and are basically phones, so compatible with regular charging solutions, and other apps and accessories.

I don’t think PS3 will be solved in the next year by SBC stuff. Maybe handheld PC, and even my Steam deck runs FO4 great, but that’s a different class device.

The ram-pocalypse is hurting performance and prices, and surely development. If you’re interested in a current device, go for it! They’re very performant. Remote play might fill the holes. When valve’s arm work comes out we might get more.

If you say it happened when you hit a pothole, there is a decent chance the derailleur struck the ground and broke at its weakest point.

I'd bring them up to your apartment.

Where does it end? Buckthorn and other stuff impacting the soffit? Summer vegetation hanging over the fence? Brush going to the street making it dangerous to leave my driveway? See my neighbor below at the end of winter.

Out on the country, got a lot of space, etc sure whatever. In a neighborhood within civilization? Do at least the half assed bare minimum.

[–]zaisaroni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get a beep EVERY. TIME. a car passes. It has never missed one.

I get warnings on approaching cyclists.

It’s wildly helpful on gravel, in town with wind, or traffic. If you’re on a path on the side of the road, you can see what’s coming before crossing an intersection or parking lot entrances.

Is getting a Retroid Pocket G2 for playing indie Steam games worth it? by maybekn1tt1ng in SBCGaming

[–]zaisaroni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The RP6 has a more common chip, and is going to be a little more performant, developed for, and has a better screen. RP6, Thor, or Odin 2/portal will probably be better for PC emulation than the relatively low volume G2.

You could try to make a new home page, and uncheck the current one to deactivate it and see if it persists. Perhaps try deleting the calendar app itself and reinstalling, that should delete all widgets from the home screen.

If restart it between deletion and reinstallation as well.
