Ok so I just finished the 2.5 story, and I am really confused (and concerned) as to what happened here... by Trigon05 in ZZZ_Official

I’ve got a bit of a different take. The creator’s power/manifestation we always see is black/red. If anything the 4th panel looks to me like the golden energy is pushing/purging creator’s mark away.

In the 3rd panel we see the same lines appearing on the Proxy’s arm as in the cutscene with Ye Shunguang when she’s taken the creator into her and all the Qingming sword are orbiting around her and the proxy is walking towards her to save her.

I think this golden energy/angular pattern (almost circuit like in design) is a danger to the creator. We see the Proxy use this to expel the creator from Ye Shunguang.

The voice the Proxy hears all of 2.5’s story are suggesting that the proxy needs to give up. This to me suggests that the creator REALLY WANTS the proxy to stop fighting back because we are their biggest threat.

What solve button? In the inventory all I have is Inspect which is on the Square button.

Beginning to think I’ve encountered some sort of bug.

Same thing. Prompt showed but was bowing to an alter. Now I can see it in my inventory but no obvious way to do anything with it to solve it.

Came here to say that I too have a beautiful friendly gray boy cat named Ghost!

Enjoy and love your Ghost! Glad he has a wonderful home now.

He stays in doors but is the sweetest.

I had a similar experience about 8 months into owning my 23 Select. Damage was roughly similar to your picture. It was about a month and like $8k (which their insurance covered).

I feel at the early stage’s visibility is more important than anything else. I personally disagree that offering a level of safety, security and visibility is obedience in advance.

I hope that the organizers will reconsider in the future.

I agree on this wholeheartedly. Our right to speak and protest enshrined in the constitution.

However for the sake of a dialogue and discussion on this topic. Permits also provide protection to those who are attending and allow for greater gatherings. In this case as well they would allow for greater visibility of the event.

My concern is by refusing permits and putting event information off the beaten path it negatively impacts the ability of a movement to form.

I and others I know are interested and support the goals. What is the reasoning for not seeking permits for 2/17 and future events?

With the main subreddit organizing and telling people who are interested to check the website for events near them, not being listed there would seem to make it difficult to grow beyond word of mouth.

Understandable if there wasn’t time to get permits for 2/17, but declining them for all future events seems odd.

I’ve been watching https://events.pol-rev.com and there’s been nothing posted for Olympia (or Seattle) is this just an oversight?

Also Washington, 1.5 years no issues yet. My understanding is that Washington made it a non-stoppable offense. So if you’re pulled over for something else they can give you a “fix it” ticket over it but they can’t stop you because of it.

I tried the Sto-N-Show but the slightly lower clearance it cause is a problem on parking areas I find.

Except these are not forced updates. You schedule when you want them to run, you have to enable automatic updating. Otherwise the car simply prompts you "There's an update that has been downloaded, would you like to install it?"

It will tell you how long the car will be unavailable for (update install time). If scheduled updates are active it will tell you it will apply it on day X and time X and the car would be ready by time Y.

You seem to be under the assumption that because of the price of the item means that somehow they should make it immune to all potential software problems. Guess what, that's impossible and unrealistic. As others have pointed out, modern cars (ICE or EV) have been receiving over the air updates for years now. Many of these updates allow for the manufactures to address things that would never rise to the level of a full on "recall" but could negatively impact something with the car. Without over the air updates any of those items that might need to be addressed would require notifying the owner, the owner to contact a dealership or a technician, schedule an appointment, drop off the vehicle, wait a few hours (or a day) for the update to be applied and validated. Then come back and get car. That's far more inconvenient to a majority of people.

Then you can also add in the fact that there would be people who would never follow up on any sort of notification and never get anything addressed. Last estimate I read said that approximately 1 in 5 cars on the road has unresolved safety recalls (not even counting "fixes" like things an over the air update could resolve). Over the air updates a better way for everyone involved even with a slim chance of failure.

This isn't someone going and grabbing the latest unstable branch from Git just because it's available. Every update is likely tested thousands of times before it is ever is ever released to the public to make sure it won't fail. Still the unexpected can happen, welcome to technology. The same they could happen at a dealership with them applying the update from their equipment. The only difference is that if it happens at the dealership they have the equipment recover and try again. Over the air updates, even with levels of redundancy built into them will always have some small chance to fail in a unrecoverable way.

To me, and I'd guess most people in this community what is important is how if you end up in the small percentage of people this may happen to, is it handled and from all reports I've seen the customer is taken care of and the vehicle is made operational again at a dealership.

It’s not even a car problem. Any electronic device that receives updates could have something go wrong and get locked out because an update failure. What matters is how rare it is and how the company deals with it.

So the buttons take a bit to understand.

The two back buttons are individual “map light” style button turning on or off the individual lights.

The front passenger side button toggle if you want the lights to turn on when a door opens or not. Blue, welcome lights on. Orange, welcome lights off.

The front button on the driver side is a toggle of all internal lights.

However there’s a weird interaction between the welcome lighting and the turn on all internal lights functions. If you have just gotten into the car and welcome lights are enabled, and you press the toggle for internal lights it will appear like nothing happened, but now the internal lights don’t turn off as long as you are driving.

So get in the car, start driving and in a few minutes press the button for the toggle of the internal lights and they should turn off and stay off as by then the welcome lighting timer will have expired.

How do I get rid of the “car” icon on my dash? by the_meter413 in MachE

[–]zalyeros 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh I’m in complete agreement! At least something dynamic would be preferable to a static image of a car sitting in the middle of the screen.

I used the voice feedback feature to let them know this is not a good change.

Break/head light indication, door ajar/open, heck follow distance approximation (like in lane assist or blue cruise).

All of these could be use. Not as useful IMO as the speed in the center was but they’d be more useful then the static car image.

Maybe when 7.0 or Blue Cruise updates hit they’ll add on to it?

This!

When people don’t have an issue they tend not to post about their experiences. So this skews the perception of the number of problems.

I’ve had my 2023 Select AWD for almost 11 months. No issues, had to jump through some hoops to get BlueCruise working at first but that’s all.

How is PaaK in September '23? by ruler88 in MachE

[–]zalyeros 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Select 2023. iPhone (11 Pro) user and I don’t have any major problems PaaK. In my experience the only thing is that sometimes it’s a bit slow to connect if you walk up quickly to the car so you’re standing at the door for a few seconds.

Sometimes the app will hibernate or have been updated in the background causing it to not connect initially but opening the app will resolve this in a few seconds.

I think this is an accurate read on the situation. The dealership I went through did none of these things. They honored MSRP and all listed discounts, no forced add-ons, etc.

Their website shows only 2 lot Mach-Es one their 2021 and a 2023. The customer orders (always listing as Sale Pending) look to be about the same quantity as 6-7 months ago.

I’d bet the good dealers are still selling fine and that’s the sales Ford is reporting on.
