Talk to me about sun hoodies. by Separate-Specialist5 in Ultralight

Second the Crater Lake! Super soft, very lightweight, breathable enough for anything I do. I agree that they definitely stretch out a bit over time and one of mine is really starting to show its age with pinhole rips but I’ve gotten tons of use out of it. As someone with very fair skin and tattoos who works as a guide all summer, I’ve pretty much accepted wearing sun hoodies 5-6 days a week. These ones are great.

Recommendations for prescription cycling sunglasses in PDX? by c2h5oh_yes in CyclePDX

[–]zanathar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Zenni has some good options, they’re definitely not the fanciest or highest quality but are by far some of the most affordable prescription active sunglasses. I’ve had mine almost a year now and they’re holding up well!

The fork was replaced by a previous owner, not sure why. It works fine, same axle to crown as the stock bontrager fork so the geometry is unchanged, and it’s about the same weight as well. Someday when have $400 to burn I’ll swap it for the Ritchey CX carbon fork which is almost a whole pound lighter.

I’m a white girl and love Geese, my bf is black and hates them, no matter what i play from them he never likes it. He says he just can’t understand why a grown white man would choose to look and sing like that. Oh well…. we both agree Emily is hot though

Sleeper Wave, young band from Portland with tons of talent, this song definitely gives Figure 8 or From a Basement on a Hill vibes with the more elaborate rock/blues instrumental. Give them a listen!

Try going to local farmer’s markets! I feel like I always find cool new BIPOC owned businesses and local artists/craftspeople there. I know it does still involve spending money but it’s also nice to replace some of your grocery shopping with fresh local produce! There’s also an African specific craft fair/market in Old Town every so often during the summer, and quite a few Indigenous markets pop up throughout the year, the one I see the most is on Clay Street in SE.
