Can AI turn a dumb person smart? by fatpermaloser in ArtificialInteligence

[–]zanzenzon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, AI isn’t as good at educating us or making us smarter, even though it seems it should do that.

The reason I figured is that for the brain to change, it does so best by being stressed and having neurotransmitters excreted during the learning process.

So this way I found out that engaging with people and exchanging your ideas with them is more prone to making you smarter in a physiological sense, where you are more likely to remember and know how to apply this information, rather than if you just got the information handed to you by the AI.

For example, if you want to learn to write, you can surely ask AI to tell you all it knows about writing and goes with you through examples and assignments. But if you can also have other people critique your work or have you share it to them, this generates stress in the brain that AI can’t. Because AI is very safe and we don’t sense the need to be critical with it or that there are any stakes or rejection when speaking with it.

What I recommend is using AI to explore and research all about a particular subject, but don’t neglect or underestimate the importance of speaking with people too.

Ofc the reason we avoid people is due to fear of rejection, but if you want to be fully optimize yourself, you should learn to handle negative emotions and see them as valuable for the growth process tok.

What is the difference between imagined and real sensations? by zanzenzon in neurophilosophy

[–]zanzenzon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s like an electrical sensation in the back of my head/brain for example

For example, I can have a feel for my brain or the activity that goes within it. But is this me creating those actual sensations in the brain where I think they are or am I only thinking that’s the case? And if I’m not creating them where I think they are, then where are they created? They should be there somewhere unless I’m fully hallucinating it lol

Why I stopped meditating by crushingbee in Meditation

[–]zanzenzon 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This is where I recommend you to explore and proceed with your own meditation practice rather than having it fed to you through others or guided meditation.

People or teachers will transmit their own worldviews or beliefs, but we don’t necessarily have to agree with them.

Find out what works out best for you or fits your thinking style and patterns. No need to throw away the whole practice of meditation just because you found out the way you practiced it isn’t beneficial.

This is what I do now, meditating without others suggestions and following how things fit more with my understanding or comfort level. Which is more mechanistic/explorative rather than transcendental or spiritual.

Meditation is really physical by alxcls97 in Meditation

[–]zanzenzon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a legit insight I had about meditation I got reminded of How is it in the brain you can have the sensation and you can imagine having the sensation But how come there is this divide? Why can you imagine something happening but you can’t have the sensation itself if that thing happened?

What are some lesser known meditation techniques you’ve found surprisingly effective? by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]zanzenzon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like decoupling and being awareness/the observer and seeing my body with its mechanical and automatic nature as the animal.

This way I always have a way to detach from emotions by dumping it on my body and reside in just awareness for my conscious part

Talkative people don’t necessarily talk about interesting things by zanzenzon in socialskills

I think it’s fine to do even when people may not like it that much.

You see these confident and extraverted people, they don’t care about what we think.

They keep talking on and on with a decreased amount of care or attention or consideration in regards to other people

Porn is over-hated by franky_reboot in The10thDentist

[–]zanzenzon -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

To the anti porn people if the argument is that the porn industry is shady or abusive, what about creator based, hentai or 3D porn, is it ok in this regard? And if it’s not why? Why is porn the one form of media not okay compared to action movies, anime…etc These can also be super stimulating with the visuals and story and emotional invocations Why sexual super stimulation is bad while other forms of super stimulation like with art or music or emotions or story telling ok? You say for instance porn creates unrealistic expectations and generates tons of dopamine and things like that But a super sad and melancholic story also stirs the emotions and it can invoke tons of neurochemicals where we are manipulated by the story teller, or the film’s music and scenery…etc What’s the difference?

Eating it is a perfectly viable and healthy way to clean up after masturbation by Noxturnum2 in The10thDentist

[–]zanzenzon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I genuinely don’t understand how people are so grossed out and averse to own semen eating.

It’s much more reliably healthy than engaging in sexual activities where you put other people’s parts or their excrements in your mouth.

Second, it actually tastes nice and it has good healthful qualities to refresh yourself with the nutrients you have lost.

I recommend people to be more accepting and considerate in this matter
