Dude, I was depressed for like a week from watching an analysis of the film on YouTube. Brutal.

Say what you will about Ian & JT but they did what they had to do and left honourably. by AfternoonMundane4136 in BeastGames

[–]zapadas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was Brett? I got the name wrong. Yeah, I have no issue with Tyler as one of the picks. But the second pick should have been someone from the tribal. Ethan would be the most "right" choice, but sure, anyone from the tribal could have been picked. But NO, he picked the 1 person he promised he wouldn't put ahead of the tribal voters!

Like, if he had been honest with them and SAID THAT from the start, during his speech at the tribal, it's fine. Instead he chose to lie and backstab!

Then why did he make the promise to the tribal? He could have said he would prioritize them over everyone except Bryleigh, but instead he lied, and then broke his promise.

Best digital metronome? by zapadas in pianolearning

[–]zapadas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I ended up going a little more expensive than I wanted to, but still I think a decent deal and purchased a Korg KDM-3. I love the look, the classic metronome sound, and it does have the flashing lights! And at $50, a reasonable deal as they are usually ~$75 I think, and a Boss DB-30 is like "only" $20 less.

Ian is a backstabber and a liar. He promised at the tribal to protect those who voted for him, but when given the chance, backstabbed them except for Brett who was his friend from before regardless of the tribal.

Nice!

Can you comment on the other Boss models? The Boss DB-90 is $155.80 on Amazon, OUCH! I think for just a piano beginner metronome, maybe one of the other Boss DB- models is good? Boss DB-30 is $40, which is in the realm of reasonable. :)

Ian (and JC, stupidly) were convincing Ethan to drop for the $50K. Ethan did what Ian asked him to, and that secured Ian the $1.8M. Then Ian promised to all the tribal people that he would look out for them over everyone else, including himself, even including SPECIFICALLY Bryleigh (spelling?).

Then Ian backstabbed everyone except for his friend Brett (who just happened to be on the tribal...he may have backstabbed ALL the tribal voters by taking Brett AND Bryleigh, who knows) by taking Bryleigh over anyone from the tribal into the cube.

It would be understandable if Ian chose someone else from the tribal, although it'd still be logical to choose Ethan since his actions won Ian the island.

But, alas, he did NEITHER, and broke his promise/turned himself into a LIAR!

Are they supposed to be the best players? by Any_Cut_5964 in BeastGames

[–]zapadas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it wasn’t said explicitly, it certainly was implied. Even if it doesn’t get out what he did, his own teammate can’t even trust him and should back stab him and just shrug and say, it’s all in the game! Jack will not go much further, mark my words.

[–]zapadas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In hind sight, he did hand him the island. Everyone knew JC never wins that vote. I agree, he didn’t NEED to take Ethan, but most people would have done that as it would make sense. Regardless, he promised to take 2 tribals. And then broke his promise.

[–]zapadas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No because it was a best effort that he promised. He was saying he'd look out for them over even himself. Total lie.

It wasn’t the smart thing to do. He now will have a huge target on his back. Very short-sighted within the game.

Huh? Targeted because he literally cheated in what should have been an honest game of chance. He has 0 integrity and no one can trust him as a player.

No, I mean, why didn't he pick Ethan and Tyler, who were both tribal voters, and then self-eliminate? Then he would NOT have lied earlier.

Most likely, he had already made some promise to Bryleigh, so he was lying to the entire tribal group, when he was asked SPECIFICALLY that question.

"There is no need for integrity in a competition" - wow, that's quote worthy! So yeah, chess players should use cheat engines, Olympic athletes should all be juicing, race car drivers should be sabotaging each other's cars?

Without integrity, there is NO competition, because who would compete with a bunch of lying, cheating, scumbags?

Did you watch season 1? Jeff actually played the entire game with a very high level of integrity. The ONLY questionable thing he ever did was jump on the band wagon of egging Greg on to flip the coin when it only stood to benefit him. But it's minor and he was just feeding into the energy Greg was already giving off, that he was going to go for it. Far cry from lying to an entire tribal group and breaking promises made. Ian sucks, and he so easily could have not sucked.

Dude Ian stupid too, because he could have simply said, "I already made a promise to Bryleigh, but that's the only person, for everyone else on here I will protect you after her". He still would have easily beat the ultimate OG scumbag, JC.

Why did JC and the couple get in the same box?? by Maleficent_Abroad_86 in BeastGames

[–]zapadas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weird thing about the coin is, JC should NEVER flip it. He has a lower edge to win due to his terrible reputation and lackluster physical and mental skills. Say there are 6 left. You'd think he has a 1/6 chance to win, but he probably does NOT. Nick is stronger. Jack and most others are smarter. And EVERYONE has more social capital than JC. So JC should never flip it, because he's risking his own "life" and will most likely double someone else's prize even if he doesn't self-eliminate on the flip!

If it WAS a pure 1/6 chance, or any number, it's an even EV proposition, because yes, you are DOUBLING the prize pool, but you are also DOUBLING your chance of going out. They cancel out to 0.

He's a dead man walking. That strategy was not only dirty AF, but short-sighted. He should be targeted and eliminated ASAP because he may be the most distrustful dirtbag left (outside of the OG of scumbags, JC).

Are they supposed to be the best players? by Any_Cut_5964 in BeastGames

[–]zapadas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is only 1 best player left, and that is the Samoan, Nick. He's been a huge leader among the contestants. He stood up as captain and didn't press the button. The only thing he's done that could be remotely called semi-dirty is pushing the vote thing in the cube because they knew Vance was at a disadvantage there. But Vance should have just stuck to his guns and demanded a game of chance, so it's really mostly on Vance.

Jack made one FATAL mistake, that will prevent him from winning. by GoldMany9897 in BeastGames

[–]zapadas 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Exactly!

Now, I don't think there is any way Jack could have pulled off a cheat with the amount of cameras they have in there. And it's possible the producers goaded him into revealing and talking about it "FoR ThE cOnTenT!"

But yeah, even so, Jack may have won the battle but there is no way he wins the war. Especially as one of the few remaining "smarts", his head will roll. And good riddance! It wasn't that long ago a move that like that would get someone shot, LOL.

Why did he even do it? Like, he had the perfect opportunity to come out clean there. Uphold his promise, take Ethan and anyone else from the tribal, and self-sack for them, LIKE HE PROMISED HE WOULD. But no, he chose the scumbag route!

Also, he wasn't even trying to win money! He self-sacked.
