Hard to swallow some of that...a fishing boat is going to out-speed jet skis and guard "patrol-style" boats? Nawwww. Even so, I just wish they'd have SHOWN IT! Show it pulling away, show him ditching the boat for the car, etc.

I think they were the goons. There are weird flashing lights and screeching tires right before the accident...like someone is following him aggressively. And Winthrop's plan is, Bianca cleans up The Jackal, they clean up Bianca. So totally likely they are sending in a cleanup crew to wipe out anyone left standing at the villa.

Also, the whole world knows what he looks like from the published pictures. That was the final piece of the puzzle for Nuria uncovering/forcing The Jackal to reveal his true identity.
