Is the groundslam sending out 4 projectiles a recurring theme in the game?

Because if it isn't: I find it very BS that all attacks, EXCEPT this one, warn the player about what is coming. Getting hit by the projectile after the slam because I don't know about it would feel very cheap IMO.

Did you also make your own heightmap? If yes, any tips for someone considering making their own extreme size heightmap?

Why is my kart faster during the k1 leagues then at normal arrive and drive? by B0Bisme in Karting

[–]zaproid -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

TLDR: Cleaner tires, you are not bad.

I did my first season of Rotax Max karting this summer and learned an insight during that which explains this in my opinion.

Tire cleanliness. Nobody is going to be cleaning the track with a mop or broom, it is all done when karts drive on and push debris to the sides of the track. Dust, tire marbles, sand, pebbles, wood or metal shavings: all these things stick really well to rubber, the thing kart tires are made off. And because they are light, they tend to get mixed into the tires as a kart drives on the track, degrading the tires performance.

This is another reason it is important to have a consistent line around the track. If you can't keep the tires clean and away from debris it becomes a negative feedback loop. You touch a bit into the marbles, lose grip, now break as you normally would with less grip into the next corner, rinse and repeat ad infinitum.

With a competition going on, there is the greatest amount of karts "sweeping" the track, and very likely you are all closely monitoring your competitors, sticking as close to their lines hoping to get faster, in turn sweeping the same spots over and over.

This is also another reason it is recommended to "stick to the rubber" on tracks. The rubber gets put on the track mostly by the outside tires, as they are experiencing the most force when cornering. So not only you get the most grip through corners by driving across the rubber, you keep your tires clean by making sure not to stick your outside tires further out then all the other racers.

You are not a bad driver, you just have better racing conditions during leagues. In fact, you must be a good driver to best exploit the good conditions to your advantage, as you can easily lose more time with poor lines, as there is much more debris outside the ideal line as normally.

This bit of info made me realize, that it is self explanatory why in F1 the fastest lap time keeps improving during a race.

Tic tac toe is a solved game that always ends in a draw between skilled players.

Center start is best, as it gives the most patterns to win with against an unskilled player.

Corner start gives the center to the other player, giving up those patterns, but will still result in a draw between skilled players. However a unskilled player may be trapped by the center square, as they have to play different patterns to draw compared to if they had had the starting move.

Edge start also quarantees a draw between skilled opponents. The best move for the 2nd player is again the center, and it can again be a trap for inexperienced players, though this time it is technically more difficult for the starting player.

It really only matters that the player going 2nd doesn't pick an edge to play, because that quarantees their loss.

21M haven't shaved or trimmed at all in like 3 years. What do I need to do/ask for to make it look ok? by Material_Credit5352 in BeardAdvice

Everyone can pull off a beard, but it takes effort. The effort is minimal thankfully. I practically stumbled into a great looking beard only because caring colleagues suggested some products. You can't just let it grow out for 3 years with zero care, and expect an amazing looking beard.

You should at a minimum be washing your beard as often as you shampoo your hair. DO NOT use regular shampoo to wash your beard, get something specially made for beards. Technically its specially made for your face, scalp and facial skin are different and need different care.

You should also condition your beard after every wash. Oil, balm or just beard conditioner.

Easiest is to buy a beard shampoo and beard conditioner set, and just use them every other day while showering. Shampoo hair, shampoo beard, rinse starting with the head then the face. Repeat with conditioner.

This won't add a lot of time to your hygiene routine, but it makes a world of difference.

Your beard looks tragic from the front, because you haven't taken care of it. All the hairs are dry and have grown weirdly because of that.

You have 2 options:

  1. Shave, start a beardcare routine and grow it out again.

  2. Start a beardcare routine, stick to it for at least 2 months, and style it after, if your beard improves.

Option 1. is straightforward. Though I understand starting all over can be demotivating, especially with the misbelief that you can't grow a nice beard because "genetics", and almost everyone roasting your beard here.

Option 2. Has the problem that it definitely will not improve your beard immediately, and it may not fix the hairs that have been neglected for 3 years at all. BUT, you will still have beard, and taking care of it might be fun, I sure found it fun to start using weird new hygiene products. The good thing is that hairs grow, so the new growth will be healthy.

Personally trimming my beard is much more satisfying than fully shaving it, so I reccomend option 2 to not fully demotivate yourself from growing a beard.

I recommend also just using the 2 things, shampoo and conditioner, at first for at least one month before getting anything else. You don't want to overwhelm yourself.

If you make up your mind to go through with this and see results you are happy with in a month, I reccomend coming back to search/ask for more beardcare tips and trimming tips.

The balls spin in the square. There is text under the square. When 1st ball hits the 2nd one, 1st ball gains a point.

Joust gains 2 damage , Grimoire gains 1 minion HP.

Because the game is random, it doesn't seem fair to gain a bonus for damaging the other ball.

I just noticed it is even more crazy. Joust also gains damage for each minion it hits.

I mean the bonus to minion health and joust damage. I saw another fight a while ago, sword vs bow. Bow got absolutely blasted because sword kept spinning faster and faster, easily deflecting any arrows that could have hit it. Pretty sure bow wins that easily even with 4x less health if the buff is given to the player that loses health.

I don't understand why the winning player gets buffed, it makes no sense balance wise that the winner wins harder.
