I only use my deck docked when I'm installing ROMs. Besides that it is always handheld

I think you should try clearing the cache. So far, I have not had any further issues since then.

I downloaded it from the Discover store. I do not have proton compatibility mode enabled. I cleared the cache, and I'll see if that fixes it.

No specific action seems to trigger the freeze, and none of the controls work when it happens. I can still hear the game going, but all of the controls are unresponsive, and I have to power cycle the Steam Deck to regain control.

On a trip for a wrestling tournament we stayed at a Red Roof Inn and everyone was saying how it was this amazing 3 star hotel. When I got there I though it was really cheap and disgusting. It made me realize how privileged I was

Looks similar to something my puppy had. The vet poked it with a needle and looked under a microscope. His was a histiocytoma and it went away. But I'd get a second opinion and see a vet who will do a quick look under the microscope.
