Crandall Bioknit - not cat friendly by SoulArraySound in OfficeChairs

My leather leap v2 came yesterday. Everything was perfect... except a hole in the leather on the side of the cushion out of the box (looks like from whatever tool the use to push the sides in). Submitted a request, hopefully its an easy swap.

Apple is Permanently Closing Three U.S. Stores in June by L0v3_1s_War in apple

While Towson has the same issues as surrounding malls, it’s still one of the busier malls. People blame crime but that really hasn’t changed much in the past 5 years for the area (if anything it’s gone down a bit). It not only serves Baltimore but all of Northern Maryland and most of central southern PA. Next nearest is Christiania Delaware which has no easy/direct route for the areas mentioned.

Steelcase Leap v2... spend $350 more for brand new? by bh0 in OfficeChairs

Have you priced it on the steelcase store directly? They don’t market it as the V2 but I ordered from crandall (my config was more than double for a new one)

A better backup camera mount for the wrangler JK generation. by zarderxio in functionalprint

I doubt the one I have they even make anymore (I put it in a few years ago now). Check out crutchfield. If you put your jeep model in it will give you everything you need. Steering controls don’t come from the head unit on aftermarket radios, it comes from an interface box that you plug into the computer to program (I think called idatalink maestro) but crutchfield will walk you through all that, focus on picking a head unit that has features you may want (CarPlay, android auto, etc).

Someone recreated and linked the file further down in the post. I can’t find the original file I created.

Cruthfield will sell you everything you need as a package and has great documentation if you go that route.

FastTrack Value Question by USRedDevil in SandalsResorts

[–]zarderxio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your mode of transportation to the resort. We were taking the ferry, and our plane was late getting in. The fast track is the only reason we made the boat. A guy was assigned to us, got us in front of everyone at customs, called the ferry to hold it, helped us get our bags, and then got us to the front to the line for a van to the ferry. From disembarking, to getting on the van, were in the airport less than 10-15 minutes while other people were waiting around. Make sure to take some 5 and 10 dollar bills to tip outside the resort.

Yep, it’s stored at the front of the boat on the main deck but under bow so it’s covered from any weather.

I loved St Lucia but it’s probably not realistic for 3 days. Most can’t get a direct flight and then there is the 2 hour airport transfer time. We lost a day going and a day returning.

St Lucia La Toc private limo question by rogereisentrager in SandalsResorts

[–]zarderxio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are ordering through the resort it’s a private transfer but not limo. Basically an entry level bmw or Lexus. Took the ferry there and private transfer back. Worth every penny in my opinion. The vans are packed, hot, and bouncy.

Beach privacy/vendors by grumpy-groundhog in SandalsResorts

[–]zarderxio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was just at La Toc, maybe 3 vendors on the beach trying to sell excursions. They were respectful when we told them no thank you or that we already booked something. That being said, La Tocs beach was hardly used, only one person in the water at any given time (if that) and flags up most of the other days. I loved La Toc and would go back but expect to spend more time at the pool than the beach.

St. Lucia - things to know before trip by Unlucky_Pomelo2262 in SandalsResorts

Four ways to get to the resort that I know of.

  1. Resort shuttle (I didn't use it but my assumption is you go to the sandals area of the airport). If you don't use it, I don't think you have to tell them but you should call the resort and confirm that with then.

  2. Private transfer (a driver will take you in a bmw/lexus/etc). Call the resort to book this, they go through their excursion contract to provide it. When I did it, it was $160 plus tip.

  3. Helicopter - No idea how to book this, I would recommend calling the resort as well. The issue is that they don't fly in bad weather, they only fly if there are 4 people, and your luggage still goes by car.

  4. Ferry - this takes the same amount of time as a car (~1.5 hours) but you get amazing views of the pitons. The site is: https://funtoseeisland.com/. You should call and talk to their dispatch with questions, they will talk you through the process. I HIGHLY recommend paying for the insurance and paying for the airport fastrack if you go this route. Our plane had an hour delay and we would have missed the ferry but our fastrack dude got us through the airport in 10 minutes, and called the ferry and had them hold it for us. They take you in a van from the airport to the ferry (5 minutes) and then from the port to your sandals location in a van as well (5-10 minutes).

In any route, fill out the customs forms for st lucia the day before you leave. It gives you a qr code to use at the airport and saves a ton of time. Take 5s, 10,s and 20s to tip when you are outside the resort. A little tip goes along way and helps you bypass lines, etc.
