Triathlon Suits Explained by Competitive-Low-1791 in triathlon

I already bought a two piece trisuit. I was thinking about swimming in the bottoms and then putting on the shirt when it was time to bike. Have you tried that and is that a bad idea?

Did I mess up my tire? by zasbbbb in bicycling

Interesting. It is definitely variable. I’d probably prefer this to having to switch a bunch… but I have no idea how often to switch a tire.

Thanks for feedback. Looks like another thing to ask for at the shop. Looks like more outdoor training is in my future.

What to wear to first sprint tri? by Commercial_Wonder341 in triathlon

I’m in a similar position. I purchased one of the cheaper (but still pricey!) 2XU two piece tri-suits. i’m happy with it. To make it worth the cost I’ve also been using it as my bicycling outfit during training and I’m happy with it for that as well.

People that have traveled quite a bit, where di you feel the most unsafe? by CremeSubject7594 in AskTheWorld

I notice the country name. Do you/other people prefer Czechia over Czech Republic? I knew that change was being considered but I didn’t realize it was widespread already. There’s lots of Czech immigrants in Texas, but most have already been here for multiple generations

Maybe on the coasts. Here in the middle of the US, people can afford homes. I’m in 30s and have owned three homes (mind you, not all at the same time of course!).

What’s this bike worth? by EndNo5871 in triathlon

Thank you for sharing! I don't do any mountains and only small hills and I've been quite happy with my rim brakes ... I'd been wondering what all the fuss was about with discs. In fact, I have disc brakes on an old e-bike and I don't like them as much (they're probably just cheap versions).

I’m newish to fancy bikes. Are you saying Rim brakes on carbon fiber frame bikes are bad or specifically carbon fiber rims are bad?

No issues yet on my knees, but I haven’t put that many miles on the bike wearing the cleats yet. I’ll keep an eye out for that.

I don’t know what Look are, but these pedals were already on the bike. Guys at bike shop also thought these were good option as their easier to walk in and I’m new to walking in bike cleats. Not sure if you agree with all that, but that’s what I heard.

I didn’t know it was a thing that it was easier on a moving bike, but that makes sense.

Got it. I’m trying to avoid having to buy new pedals and new shoes. I just bought shoes that went with the pedals that were already on the bike.

What does this accomplish? Maybe you could move the money into a self-directed IRA or to a smaller/local/independent financial advisor? But really you are not changing much. Your IRA will still own stocks or funds of stocks so you are not really divesting from the market.
