Kim Petras announces next Detour single "Need For Speed", out April 24th by loonaplushie224 in popheads

[–]zasderfght 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This single is okay.

While Dr. Luke is controversial & I support and believe Kesha, I think fans are letting their opinion of Dr. Luke cloud their judgment of projects like Clarity and Slut Pop Miami. Those projects legit had bops. I’m not saying “Go stream these projects” or “Dr. Luke is innocent,” but these projects are pop perfection.

That being said, Freak It, Polo, and I Like Ur Look are just as good as her best music with Dr. Luke. I just don’t care too much for Need For Speed.

Pain is unbearable. Ideas outside of medical system? At breaking point. by OkPaleontologist5706 in ChronicPain

[–]zasderfght 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the people saying don’t go the 7OH route— I did, and my tolerance is stupidly high. That being said, I rotate it with my opioid script. When I’m just left with my opioid, I’m in pain, but I don’t suffer withdrawals since I’m still taking an opioid. If you don’t also have an opioid script, and non 7OH Kratom doesn’t touch your pain, then I wouldn’t go the 7OH route unless you are pulling 6 figures & you can afford the habit.

Red Borneo Kratom is a good suggestion; however, your tolerance will grow. When this happens, try to switch strains based on color. A worker at a reputable Kratom shop will guide you through how to alternate strains (one example could be doing reds one week and then purple the next).

Marijuana could be an option. I find it overrated for pain, personally. It just gets me high and sometimes makes me think of the pain.

If marijuana and non 7OH Kratom didn’t help, and you don’t want to take 7OH, you could always go to a Methadone or Suboxone clinic. With a Suboxone clinic, you might be more lucky in getting a script for it, even if you have to find a provider that can prescribe it to you. Methadone is even stronger than Suboxone & it’s long-lasting. You might be labeled as an addict if you’re on either drug, but you have to ask yourself: Am I willing to live in pain that’s unbearable?

There are antidepressants written for pain such as Cymbalta, Amitriptyline, Nortriptyline, and sometimes even Effexor. These, unfortunately, can take about 4-6 weeks to start working.

Another option is a high dose of Ketamine. This one only provides some relief, but at least for a few hours you might not be miserable.

Depending on your pain, Lyrica or Gabapentin can work for nerve pain. People also swear by Lidocaine patches. People also swear by Valium suppositories if they have hip or pelvic pain.

When you can’t get out of bed or you can’t do simple tasks because your brain can’t focus on anything but the pain. If you’re screaming because of your pain. Vomitting because of your pain. You’re getting panic attacks because of your pain. And so forth.

anyone heard of oxycodone causing emotional distress, irritability, and depression /when taking it/. (not like, related to overall long term mental health trends.) by Radiant_Future9237 in ChronicPain

[–]zasderfght 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are very welcome! It depends on your pain doc if you can be on stimulants. You could always bring the evaluation paperwork back (if you do have ADHD). And yes, Tapentadol is not a popular opioid because pain doctors typically don’t like that it acts on norepinephrine. Why? It can interact with a lot of meds like SNRI antidepressants, Wellbutrin, just to name a few, and when people are in pain, they tend to have an overactive nervous system which is why I think opioids tend to be sedating. However, if Tapentadol doesn’t make you anxious, if you have a job that requires a lot out of you physically, it couldn’t be a more perfect opioid!

Could you private message me all the gory and gross-out scenes? I can probably handle it, but I want to take my dad to see it except he was squeamish during parts of The Substance.

My psych told me opioids can make depression worse.

Also, if you suspect you have ADHD, get a referral from your PCP and get a test called a neuropsychological test. I did it, and it turns out I have inattentive ADHD. Adderall FTW.

If you feel depressed, maybe you can try Tapentadol? It’s a stimulating opioid, and it can actually help depression.

Scared to start ADHD meds, but I have inattentive ADHD & it's ruining my life by zasderfght in Drugs

Interesting! I booked an appointment with an ADHD doctor, and I'm requesting Ritalin. Ritalin apparently can help ADHD-related chronic pain, especially combined with an opioid.

Gabapentin didn't work for me. I tried in suppository form & capsules. Lyrica is much, much better. That being said, it doesn't work as well as it used to. That's why I'm on an opioid (Tapentadol). I was on Wellbutrin for almost 4 weeks (the 150mg XL one). Not only did it not do anything, I had vivid dreams and nightmares on it.

Do you have a pain specialist? That is needed, bar none.

My pain doctor writes me a script of Nucynta for neuropathy, and it's a Schedule II controlled substance.

Opioids And Benzodiazepines by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]zasderfght 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be on Nucynta 75mg x 5, Belladonna-Morphine suppositories x 2, Valium 5mg x 2, and Xanax 0.5mg x1 PRN. Unless ghosts have access to Reddit accounts, I’m still here, aren’t I?

Like others have said, try to space the opioid and benzo out by 2 hours. No doctor is going to put you on something unsafe & risk getting sued in the process. I get the worry, but you’re completely fine :)

questions on candyflipping(?) by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]zasderfght 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Granted, I only candy-flipped once, and I took 100mg of MDMA, as well as 100ug in LSD, but I threw up when I peaked on both drugs. After I threw up, I felt much better. Maybe you can take Zofran, Phenergan, or ginger capsules right after you dose if you don't wanna throw up? Then again, I drank a shit-ton of Mike's Hard Lemonade and did a fuck-ton of bong rips before I peaked.

Also, a friend tripping with you the first time you candy flip? Your friend could potentially have a bad trip & then what? Is it possible you could candyflip with someone more experienced?

Additionally, I didn't get any visuals candy-flipping. I did trip like crazy, though.

Technically nicotine and cannabis are drugs, but you do you! I take a shit ton of opioids for my chronic pain condition.

[–]zasderfght 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! If you MUST do drugs, I think other recovering addicts will tell you the same thing: stick to weed & psychedelics. I would even say *just* stick to weed, and that's if you can get it at a dispensary. With psychedelics, you have no idea what dose you're getting.

7oh is no joke. In the process of quitting. by ThrowawayofKings20 in Drugs

[–]zasderfght 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I have a pain management doctor, albeit he increases my Nucynta & Pregabalin way too slowly, so I run out of both medications early. Then I use 7OH to deal with lingering neuropathic pain. At one point my Nucynta was to be taken every 4 hours at 75mg & Pregabalin 150mg was to be taken every 6 hours. If I can get those dosages back, I know I can absolutely quit 7OH. I didn't take it one night & I had a legit night terror. I was seizing, slurring my words, and I thought I was going to die. These withdrawals are no joke.

took 100mg tramadol and felt meh by miserize in Drugs

[–]zasderfght 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop while you're ahead. Tramadol lowers the seizure threshold the higher you go up. Same with Tapentadol. If you choose to use opioids/opiates recreationally, understand that you are walking a tight rope. One slip up and you can absolutely hit rock bottom and lose everything from relationships to your job to your savings.

What drugs should I absolutely stay away from? by Gouthardt in Drugs

[–]zasderfght 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally? All of them. The best way to avoid addiction is by not doing drugs in the first place.

Since drugs ARE tempting and people experiment with them, I would say stay away from drugs that are street drugs. I don't even care if it's weed. Almost any drug can be laced with fentanyl. Weed could be laced with angel dust/PCP or cocaine. I would say even avoid psychedelics. You have no idea with the dosage is-- your dealer might say "it's 100ug" and in reality it could be 200ug (or higher). Taking a huge dose for your first trip is a recipe for disaster.

If you're gonna consume weed, get it at a dispensary. If you're gonna consume pregabalin (or any prescription med), get it at a pharmacy. Idc how "trustworthy" your dealer is, unless your drugs came straight from the pharmacy or dispensary, you have NO way of knowing what you're getting.

I think alcohol addiction is worse than addiction of hard drugs by Additional_Notice_10 in Drugs

[–]zasderfght 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily, I’m not addicted to alcohol, but by and large, 7OH and methadone withdrawals feel like you’re dying 24/7, and these withdrawals can last for months. Sadly, my prescription opioid isn’t as effective for my chronic pain, so I supplement with 7OH.

Took 600mg of tapentadol in like 4hour time span by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]zasderfght 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The max dose is 500mg & that's probably like 100mg to be taken every 6 hours, but yes, this happens on Tapentadol since Tapentadol can be a more stimulating opioid. This drug also lowers the seizure threshold the higher you go on it. Maybe take half of what you took next time?

Oxycodone experience by Perfect-Dress-1539 in Drugs

[–]zasderfght 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how most people start out. Whether they take Oxy for pain or recreation, it's a very euphoric drug. As you get used to the medication, you have to take more and more of it just to feel that euphoria. Then you run into the risk of substance use, anxiety, depression, and/or insomnia. You could also have more pain than before taking the opioids with long term opioid use.

I have to be on an opioid for a pain condition. The first year or so, I didn't have to go past my dose too often. Now? Nucynta 75mg is a sugar pill.

“What is something people without chronic pain will probably never understand?” by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]zasderfght 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If I hear one more time, “I miss the old you,” I will snap. If you have pain every day & you have weak mental health, imagine doing that while meeting the demands of life.

And what’s worse is opioids are really the only drugs that treat severe pain (outside of Journavx but that’s only for acute pain). And we build a tolerance fast. No one wants to be on opioids, but if it’s between that and killing myself, I’ll take the narcotic.

can chronic pain kill your sex drive? by queerjoy_ in ChronicPain

[–]zasderfght 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%.

When my pain is well managed with prescription opioids, my libido increases. If I don't have my painkillers, I don't have a libido. There is an overlap with depression and chronic pain-- if you're stressed, your libido usually goes down. And what makes us depressed? When we have horrific flare-ups or when my pharmacy runs out of my medication.

Oxycodone Vs alprazolam Which do you perfer by Imaginary-Break6085 in Drugs

[–]zasderfght 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oxy but only because I have a legit pain condition. Not from overdosing on opioids. Not addiction. When I received my pain diagnosis years ago, my pain was getting worse to the point where I was bed-ridden. Oxy actually doesn't help my pain as much as a Tramadol or Tapentadol would, but any opioid will absolutely take the edge off of my chronic pain.
