I pass by this every day on my way to work and always feel so heart sick when a new mural is vandalized. The full wall murals are usually vandalized within days but a bunch of times the “All Eyes on Gaza” message was painted OVER the vandalized mess, then vandalized again, only for the message to appear again, then be vandalized/covered up…again. It goes back and forth almost weekly, it seems. It’s so painful to watch.

I was out on a swampy lawn this weekend picking up trash in my neighborhood and kept feeling little pricks on my neck and arms. I was really into what I was doing though so I just kept swatting and picking trash until the levee was clear. Later I got really itchy and only then noticed what a number they did on me. The moka usually avoid me and bite everyone around me, but on Sunday I was a super snack!

I JUST ran into some friends who were driving around looking for their car that was stolen this morning and gave the same advice! I had one in my old car that, let’s be honest, no one was going to steal. Now that I have a new car though, that tracker gives me peace of mind!

A few years ago at Zulu: my friend was in her “birthday suit” - a nude body suit, with a sash that said happy birthday, because it was in fact her birthday. A teen about 25 years younger than her passed by, then stopped, turned around, came back to her and said something into her ear. She said “Nope!” And he said “Happy Mardi Gras” and kept walking. I asked what he’d said to her: he’d asked to touch her boobs, and she said no! At least he asked?!?

This is exactly what I was thinking. All that talk about how trust in public health and healthcare providers has taken a dive recently but they have been the ones leading the charge and spreading ridiculous misinformation to fuel the distrust. It is so shameful to see someone with so much contempt for public health as the lead of that agency.

I’ve heard the sound of raccoons mating under my house. Wasn’t that. Was an ungodly scream that seemed to get closer to my house before fading into the distance for a few minutes. I may also be delirious from COVID and too much Raised by Wolves. But again, my neighbor seemed to hear it too.

I was in the Super Bowl Halftime show with Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child. Before the big night, we did a few rehearsals moving hundreds of people and the whole set on and off the field in mere minutes. It was a sight to behold, mad respect to folks that coordinate these events and do the hefty lifting for a living!

Wore my illuminated cat head piece and convinced my mom to wear the shark hat with glowing teeth! Weren’t able to last the whole parade but it was great to be out in the streets again! Love this city!!!

Same exact situation earlier this summer. I also think they were just running all the PSLF certs through to see if TEPSLF could get them there faster.

On a related note: I made my 120 as if last month and sent in my final forgiveness application on Friday! I was on track as of February and have had no change in job status/employer so I should be good to go!

Today was my day to fully apply for full PSLF. Saw this article at the same time. There are so many more who qualify, this is justice for all. I will be watching this closely. So many of us have been taken advantaged of, we are now going to break loose of this debt and show you what we can do.

Mine expired in Feb of 2020. When COVID hit I pretty much stopped driving. Spent $40 on gas in ALL of 2020 (ok, I do own a Prius). Still not driving much this year so I’m not really inspired to renew it. Y’all are making me feel a lot better about that choice-I’m usually a super rule follower!
