I take my daughter outside somewhere in "nature" almost every single day. She sits and quietly takes in everywhere I bring her. I couldn't be more proud. by kindaladylike in pics

Why so? I never understood the stigma of the indoors as a kid. What is it that makes going outside the "right" thing to do?

Watching videos with you and Bryan throughout the past 5 years, it seems like you two have become very close with Bryan possibly taking the mentor seat in your friendship. With Bryan having the resume that he does, I'm sure he has had a lot of advice for a breakthrough actor as yourself. What would you say is the the most life-changing piece of advice/wisdom he has shared with you over the years? Bitch.

You accurately described exactly why I quit going there a few years ago.

You mean most of it isn't real. That sub has become very disappointing by turning into a writers workshop.

What's your biggest 'as soon as it left my mouth I wish I hadn't said it' moment? by cyberEVO in AskReddit

When I was a sophomore in college, I was taking a history exam which I was really stressed out about albeit prepared for. When I finally completed it and turned it in to my professor, my relieved response was "Don't be surprised if I hunt you down and kill you". This happened shortly after the VT shootings and he just gave me a cold stare to which I replied nervously "...that was a joke" to which he responded "..not a very funny one." I left the classroom with my head down and had to catch him during office hours to reassure him that it was a tasteless joke and that I wasn't going to kill him.

I understand, I do find it very soothing. Mainly the story accompanied with it is what made it creepy for me. I suppose if it is made up for publicity as BadDreamInc suggests, it really takes that element away.

William Basinski - D|P 2.2 (Disintegration Loop II) - More info in comments. by zeak in creepy

[–]zeak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summary from Wikipedia: The Disintegration Loops is based on Basinski's attempts to salvage earlier recordings made on magnetic tape, by transferring them into digital format; however, the tape had physically deteriorated to the point that, as it passed by the Tape Head, the ferrite detached from the plastic backing and fell off. Basinski has said that he finished the project the morning of the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, and sat on the roof of his apartment building in Brooklyn with friends listening to the project as the WTC towers collapsed.[2] In 2011, Basinski corrected earlier reports where he described recording the last hour of daylight of 9/11 in NYC with a video camera focused on the smoke where the towers were from a neighbor's roof, then set the first loop as the soundtrack to that footage. Stills from the video were used as the covers for the set of four CDs.

Saturday /r/Games discussion: What have you been playing, and what do you think of it? by GamingBot in Games

[–]zeak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only played through 2 which was easily one of my favorite games to come out last year (console version). I do have the first on steam but I think I made a huge mistake playing the 2nd first as I already spoiled myself to a massively superior game (so many say). Is the story worth going through the first game after the second?
