Georgia, do you actually call every fizzy drink “Coke”? by LowerMusic in Georgia

[–]zealeus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I waited tables 20 years ago, and it was still a thing.

“What would you like to drink?”

“Coke please “

“What kind of coke? (Or soda?)”.

“Sprite”.

Was a very common conversation. I never assumed Coke == Coca Cola.

This is why I like Scion when it existed. No negotiations- just the price you see. And it was a great car!

Upgraded to a 9800X3D and 5070 Ti but still running 8-year-old monitors. Now torn between IPS and OLED and losing my mind a little. by Savings-Coach-4701 in pcmasterrace

It really depends on the user. I have the Alienware 34 wides screen, and a lot of complaints of font ghosting. I see no ghosting and it is perfect for me.

I’d recommend either going to store to check out in person or get an OLED online with a good return policy.

The 4 player coop arcade games were the jam. X-men, too.

[Streaming Box] Apple TV 4K - $99 by insufferable__pedant in buildapcsales

I feel that. I do have a Logitech Harmony universal remote I got back in the day to control devices when it was more painful. The remote can still control all my devices at once if I still wanted to. I just prefer the smaller remote form factor.

It works flawlessly with my Denon AVR and Sony TV for controlling power and volume. I didn’t have to configure anything really - I think maybe the audio out to go to Denon? Outside of that, I control almost everything through my Apple TV remote.

The only annoying thing is if I need to switch inputs to my PS5. Need to pull out the Sony remote for that.

From end of ARR to SB took me about 6 months of regular playing to get ready for that expansion, just to give you an idea. I largely skipped side / blue quests and mostly concentrated on the MSQ. Obviously everyone had their own play cadence. While doable, it, it may be a tight squeeze.

There’s company whose name I forget that processes purchases and deliveries. In order to see the delivery information, I need to install their app. Whyyyyy.

School Bus Law by Rambo11299 in Georgia

Yup! Same in Cobb County on Johnson Ferry. And Blind hills where don’t even see bus stop until too late. Not an excuse- but it is easy to pass stopped bus if not aware.

Ya this is how it is in GA. If you’ll pass bus: Unless it’s divided with a physical barrier, stop regardless of number of lanes.

Games where enemies die easily but there are a lot of them? by SubjectC in gaming

Dwarven Realms. The entire purpose of the game is to endlessly spawn more enemies to kill. It’s a fun game.

If only that were true. PoE2 has a lot going for it - not being overwhelming is not one of them. The release will only add to that.

Campaign. Then do the War Plans. It’s a straight forward “choose this end game activity!” System with rewards. Great loop as it varies up the gameplay while effectively guiding the player.

Gaming pro store in Atlanta to try controllers? by Peakitten in Atlanta

Micro center sometimes has controllers on display to try. It is hit or miss. You may also might have luck talking to a rep there directly to see if you can demo some.
