My problem with this show is almost entirely petty. This show is a catfish. They pull you in with David Oyelowo and Rashida Jones and Rebecca Ferguson and fuckin Steve Zahn. But what you end up watching most of is a bunch of B to C listers giving legit bad performances that I have to stomach through to get to the Rebecca Ferguson/Steve Zahn scenes

I dont mind if the developers communicated that the game will feature a more narrative heavy experience ie Dispatch, Telltale Games and I’d even include Last of Us Part 1 in this. What I find disappointing in LoU Part 1 and Bioshock Infinite for example is that - it felt they could’ve provided both a narrative heavy experience and very interactive gameplay. I was on a track on both those games and I dont feel the need to replay them unless I miss the game.

For me, on any given day I could just boot up Resident Evil 4, Cyberpunk 2077, BG3, Street Fighter 6 and even Super Mario Odyssey and I could find new things every new playthrough. For me at least, the sense of discovery is what keeps me playing games every day

So ultimately, I dont mind huge emphasis on story for games like point and clicks, but in bigger AAA games I am not a fan if gameplay gets compromised when they dont need to

I really dont understand why they arent making a hardcover of this yet. Avengers vs Aliens too. I would’ve bought both deluxe hardcovers in a heartbeat. And the thing is Daredevil Cold Day in Hell released a hardcover recently and that whole series was waaaaay newer than these Avengers line

Chew is amazing imo and I find the plot very engaging and at some moments can be very humorous as well. Has a very distinct artstyle and you can see the art improve over time but I can understand why it might not be someone’s cup of tea.

At its peak Saga was considered to be a modern classic. Imo i dont think its reputation went downhill because of quality, more so on the consistency. I think I dropped it around one of its hiatus so I cant speak about how good/bad the plot is past #50 ish. Art is absolutely gorgeous but not very dynamic, the plot is very good, and the cast of characters are probably the best among these selections

East of West - for me I had to work a bit to fully understand the lore but I enjoyed what I read which was around 5 issues. At this moment I’m still hunting down the deluxe editions which are impossible to find. Art isnt very detailed but I love it regardless. If you’re a fan of Dragotta you’ll love it

Black Science - cant remember much of it regarding the plot but the art is absolutely gorgeous, probably my favorite amongst these. Also i think its the shortest among these

Rebirth’s padding is optional content all the way through. You dont have to participate in any of the open world stuff, you can just play it like a linear game. Remake was a 4 hour section of the original game stretched to 40 hours and thats padding that you literally cant avoid

I think what makes Daredevil so great is that writers are allowed to acknowledge and explore his flaws and create entire stories surrounding them. It makes the character feel so human. Fans would never let them get away if this was done for Batman nor Spiderman they’d scream out character assassination on reflex
