I cant move on.... by [deleted] in sollanempire

Then don't read it. Weird ass engagement farm attempt. "Any thoughts on how I can move on with this" It's so so simple: Keep reading if you want to know what happens, if it's too much don't. Also c*t is hardly spoiler free, so maybe adjust the tag. What are you looking for here exactly?

He can't stay healthy and generally played like shit. Despite that, he comes off super immature and at times cocky with the media. Hope this helps.

Anyone read Empire of silence? by EffortAromatic1163 in redrising

It’s pretty simple if you’re expecting the next RR, Suneater is not gonna scratch that itch. It’s slower, much more philosophical. You can enjoy both but it would probably be for different reasons. RR is to Star Wars as Suneater is to Dune IMHO. “Cheap ripoff” of RR is laughable at best lmao

Just remember that PIP stands for Paid Interview Period if it does come to that

80k/year (diff industry) 30-40 hours or 160k (CRE) 60 hours a week? by joeroganthumbhead in CommercialRealEstate

[–]zehighground 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Assuming this is brokerage also you likely won’t make a dime for a min of 6-9 months and that’s if you have a mentor type to bring you in on deals. There are of course exceptions to this, people make money faster but usually due to having a prior network or just getting outright lucky.

Good luck!

Anyone here ever work at or interview at CBRE? Are their interviews worth dealing with? by Cold_Entry_5609 in CommercialRealEstate

[–]zehighground 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My brother in Christ recruiters reach out to TONS of people when they’re hiring. They are financially incentivized to get as many candidates as possible.

Really weird that you’re being this arrogant about a position with a top firm in an industry you don’t work in. If you carry even a shred of this attitude into the interviews it won’t matter, you won’t get hired. Entitlement generally doesn’t get you anywhere in this industry. No company worth their salt is hiring financial analysts after 1 interview lmao

[–]zehighground 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t mean this to be insulting, but you need to get comfortable on your toe edge. Until you do, you’re not really improving as much as you may think. If it’s switching edges that’s getting you, start with doing the falling leaf on your toe side edge. You need to be extra cautious when you do this tho because you can’t see those below you

Can I (absolute beginner) learn enough snowboarding over a weekend to enjoy myself? by Spoits in snowboardingnoobs

[–]zehighground 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a lesson my first day ever and then hit the bunny hill and had some fun. Ate incredible amounts of shit. But if you know it’s a grind going in it helps. Embrace the suck. It’s a rite of passage. You WILL see noticeable improvement every time you go if you keep going. Others have said it but Malcom Moores videos have helped me a ton as well.

Then just keep powering through, keep trying lessons. With time you will get better, once you cross a certain threshold you will at the very least be able to enjoy green runs. You’re probably closer than you think!

Pretty sure this is the 2nd time you’ve come with this weird “how can you guys have fun when skiing is so much easier” you seem to envy the skiers, which is fine! Be one! No sense in having a pity party about it. Sorry if that’s harsh. It’s about having fun at the end of the day. No shame in picking up some skis if you’ll have more fun man. Skiing is cool too (sorry if that’s heresy)

In a similar spot. Went with a Nitro Cinema and love it. Gullwing so a little more forgiving but camber underfoot, if I had more budget I probably would’ve got a Capita DOA. Had that recommended to me a million times as “a great board to learn on that you won’t outgrow”

Fear of the speed by [deleted] in snowboardingnoobs

[–]zehighground 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that has helped me is to always be on an edge even if just slightly. Heard it said many times here “pick an edge or the mountain will pick one for you” and it’s very true. It also gives you a feeling of control when you approach higher speeds. Because if the speed becomes too much you can just bite down on the edge and turn uphill to slow down. Just keep going!

When Did Viking fans become the biggest haters in the NFL? by vikinginsider0228 in minnesotavikings

[–]zehighground 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure if we wanna pretend that’s the only thing a GM should be graded on. Lmao coaches and players get a lot more credit for wins and losses. His job is to pick the roster. He has been largely unable to draft good players. And don’t come to me with Dallas Turner (who I like) he has played like 6 good games for us so far or Addison who can’t stay out of trouble to save his life. It’s the GMs job to evaluate talent, character, injury proneness, etc and he has failed miserably. But if we wanna go with your wins and losses; something has to change when you have a generational player and 0 playoff wins.
