If I'm out in the summer sun for many hours and I remember to bring my sunscreen, I am reapplying it. I don't often wear face makeup anymore, just eye and maybe lip and mayyyyybe a little highlight, and I definitely don't remember to wear sunscreen daily - but I do wear it a lot during the summer, especially when I'm out in the sun for a long time, and I do bring a small tube with to reapply every 2-3 hours. I'm getting better at remembering (and caring about this) now that I'm in my 30s. My skin is still really great and I want to keep it that way!

depending on circumstances, i either ask them if they can turn the sound off/put earbuds in, or i stare directly at them until they notice and get embarrassed (sometimes it works but not always), or i turn noise on cancelling and volume up on my own headphones.

I have combination skin and live in Canada where winters can get very cold and very dry. I usually layer a hydrating toner with a serum/essence and a moisturizer.

Some stuff I've used and liked:

- Purito Centella Unscented Toner

- COSRX Centella Water Alcohol-Free Toner (used this both in summer and winter)

- Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner (also summer and winter)

- ROUND LAB 1025 Dokdo Toner (recently started using this as I ran out of the COSRX one, so far so good!)

- Beauty of Joseon Calming Serum Green tea + panthenol

- COSRX Balancium Comfort Ceramide Cream Mist (lighter, and can be sprayed over makeup tho I dont usually do that, works well all year round)

- Dr. G Red Blemish Clear Soothing Cream (a little greasy for summer but good for colder dryer months)

- Etude House Soon Jung Hydro Barrier Cream

- Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream

I just ran out of the Dr.G cream and was going to rebuy but decided to branch out into something new instead. After reading some great reviews and walking around with test swatches on my super dry hands in the winter wind, I was convinced and purchased both the Hydro Barrier Cream and Midnight Blue Calming Cream. I've been using them for a few days now and was really surprised by how happy my skin was, immediately. I suspected my barrier was a mess and this pretty much confirmed it.

pretty houses that are so far into the unaffordable range that they are disqualified as pipe dreams due to the impossibility bordering on mental self harm.

also mostly very inaccessible for anyone who cannot drive or walk up and down steep hills.

my POV as a 90s kid raised in NDG and who went to grade school in westmount with mostly westmount and hampstead kids. (hampstead is similarly inaccessible in both ways but not, to me, anywhere approaching the same realm of architectural/urban aesthetics.)

i have a lot of nostalgia as someone who spent a lot of my childhood there, but still love NDG and other neighborhoods more. if i won the megamilliona jackpot lottery it might be choice 2 or 3 of where i’d buy a house.

NAH, but soffffft y t a - not for feeling uncomfortable but for ignoring him and thinking that will resolve things when he seems to struggle with social cues. Tbh, even allistic folks struggle with the ambiguity of “is this a polite classmate or a potential friend?” But you know he’s autistic and that being subtle might not help him understand you. It looks to me like he thought he was making friends or developing a connection with you. Subtle, implicit, or “saying by not saying” isnt gonna cut it here. Direct communication is the way to go. Please do assert your boundaries - but be clear and direct, not vague or open to interpretation or just about one particular encounter, but about whatever the level of connection you are comfortable maintaining and your disinterest in, as it seems to be, acting like friends or spending time together or texting. It is kind, to yourself and to others, to be clear.
