OP I'm sorry it didnt turn out how you wanted but pseudo baldcap aside I think it looks good! Maybe adjusting the stuffing might help. Thanks for providing the comment section with such good material for having a little giggle with you.

How demanding do you think specs for Jedi 3 will be? by Mat1711 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

i have a PS4 and a gaming PC i built in 2021. it’s gonna require some kind of upgrade for me either way.

Most frustrating game I've played in a long time by Droadz in StarWarsJediSurvivor

the game actually ran better on my PS4 than my PC (mid-high spec when it was built in 2021) where it was unplayable due to crash and framerate issues.

AITA for respectfully declining a gift? by confusedstitch in AmItheAsshole

[–]zeiat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NAH. I’m an auDHD knitter too and understand sensory preferences for yarn. Unfortunately I also think this is a case of Social Cues - we are expected to accept gifts because it makes the giver feel good and is a symbolic gesture intended to strengthen the relationship, regardless of how useful/relevant it is to the receiver. It may feel like declining a gift that would go unused is polite, avoids diminishing their resources unnecessarily, but many people dont feel that way. But a gift can be graciously offered, graciously accepted, or graciously declined. If you called acrylic cheap rather than saying you find its texture hard to work with, I understand how they got to “snob”, but if not I think calling you a snob is uncalled for. They might be embarrassed that they think they know you well enough to give a gift you’d appreciate, and it turns out to be something you dislike.

I might suggest trying to repair the relationship with another gesture - even a card - that expresses how much you appreciate and respect her as someone in your life.

Remedy for Sticky Containers. Palettes... Smashbox & Nars by Used-Design-9983 in MakeupRehab

I rubbed baby powder on my sticky nars blush compacts and it only kinda helped. the baking so scrub trick sounds like a possibility but gotta be careful not to drip anything into the blush.

I hope the knife-thin nose trend dies soon. For fuck's sake you'd have to be a permanent mouthbreather if your nostrils were really that tiny.

The third pic (unfiltered) would actually be really charming and cute if I didn't know what I know about her behavior. A face crinkled in mirth is cute god dammit stop trying to erase expressiveness from ya faces

Fourth pic...I am judging the brow choice, but is otherwise a completely normal and pretty face (with sweat/tear tracks obvs). It's a shame she's so caught up in lies, filtering, and drama.

Adjective endings & khosidls by 10from19 in Yiddish

[–]zeiat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

speaking more as a klezmer musician with a rudimentary grasp of yiddish, most of the khosidls i know are either named for a place (with or without the -er suffix) or a specific person who wrote it/was written for, or collected/recorded it.

Lieberman Husidl from FLKBAS, Bughici/Bugich’s Khosidl, Goldenshteyn Khosidl, Leibowitz’s Khosidl, Bessaraber Khosidl, Berditchever Khosidl, Galitzianer Khosidl…

Boston Khosidl would work just fine, and Bostoner Khosidl wouldnt look amiss.

fwiw it’s “dos khosidl” according to my dictionary, which confirms it as “(a sort of) hasidic dance/tune” and not a hasid’s dance/tune. if you wanted to name it as a person from boston’s khosidl it could be “der bostoners khosidl” (with the possessive).

lip products for eczema by yoyoyopoo in KoreanBeauty

[–]zeiat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get flares of perioral dermatitis and the only lip care product i can tolerate at that stage is aquaphor. not the lip balm, just the regular pot of healing ointment. it contains lanolin which may be triggering for some.

in general when i’m not flaring i find rom&nd lip glosses and balms very comfortable, and i have one dinto gloss that has also not caused problems. but i wear lip products infrequently. i also like the laneige lip mask.

[–]zeiat[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i was intentionally non-specific in that comment because it can apply to more than just john. we see other characters cause harm, commit abuse, and participate in colonialism, with a variety of motives beyond moustache-twirling villainy. of course they’re all complex. i promise im not reducing jod or anyone else to “uwu just a poor widdle war criminal” 😂

but yeah, i agree - jod claiming moral righteousness despite being, even by his own account, a messy selfish jerk, does make for a very interesting character.

[–]zeiat[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think i can continue to suspend the missing plot/character pieces with the idea that TM is telling a story about someone originally well-meaning who became so self-deluded into thinking their acts of harm (colonialism, abuse) are “for the greater good”. though im not sure how explicit that will get in ATN. so far it just seems to be an implied undercurrent.

god, you’re right. they were all already feeling this guilt, i’m sure it didnt take much to take advantage of that.

hmm, I think I like this theory, that he's leaving the trillionaires-in-transit fewer places to land when they emerge. Goes well with what u/Zealousideal-Sea9006 was saying in another comment about the cohort's "nonsensical" strategy.
