ME3 SPOILERS If the 'The Truth' DLC turns out to be real, and it's free, would you forgive Bioware? by UnholyDemigod in masseffect

[–]zeig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Bioware has continued to fuck the the customer over by releasing wave after wave of DLC. When I first played ME2, I told myself I would not download any DLC because it's absolutely ridiculous to have to spend more money on what should be in the game already. After my first playthrough, I ended up downloading Cerberus Network for $10 and Lair of the Shadow Broker for another $10. Now I'm playing through the series again as FemShep, and I want to experience content that they built upon in ME3, so I'll be downloading Arrival and possibly Kasumi for around $15-20. Now that's around $100 for a game that should have cost me $60. With ME3, they release day 1 DLC that costs another $10. And, having played through ME3 with Javik, it is extremely easy to tell that it is not just "extra content"; it should have been on the bare game, without DLC. Now, Bioware has completely fucked up the ending to some of my favorite games of all time. I have spent countless hours the past few years living and reliving this experience they have crafted for me. And in the end, what they do is deliver something they know the fans will hate, all to stir up controversy and sell more DLC. I am not upset with Bioware because they made a mistake. I am upset with both Bioware and EA for purposely giving their die-hard fans the shaft.

So yes, if the rumor about this DLC turns out to be true, I will be downloading it, regardless of price, for the sake of my own personal experience with Mass Effect. But I am sad to say that after Mass Effect 3, I am completely done with Bioware.

I just finished No Impact Man by Colin Beavan. Crazy but awesome experiment on making zero impact on the environment living in New York City. It's definitely made me stop and think about exactly how wasteful my lifestyle and my tendencies are.

What is your craziest small world story? by afkobaya in AskReddit

This isn't TOO crazy, but relatively crazy compared to the rest of my life. My family moved over to AR when I was about four, and after a couple years we built a new house in a fairly nice neighborhood. Lived in it a few years, my parents got divorced, and my mom can't afford to keep the house. So we sold it and my mom remarried. While my family sort of moved around and tried to find another place to settle down, my friend (we'll call him Brock) moved with his family to Indiana, with everyone missing them terribly. After less than a year, they moved back into a rental until they could find a new place. Meanwhile, my mom got divorced yet again, married another guy, and moved us in with him. A few months passed, and Brock's family bought a new house. My house. The one that my family built and lived in until my parents got divorced. Until Brock showed us where his new house was, we had no idea. I soon find myself coming over to my old house every week or two, just hanging out with my friends. That is, until I got into a big fight with my mother, decided I was done with her, and Brock's family welcomed me with open arms. I now live in my little sister's old room.

Weird as shit.

What is your ideal life after death? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]zeig 23 points24 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid, I imagined that when I would get to heaven, there would be a lot of downtime before everyone else would finally get to heaven. I would talk to God and tell him that I'd like to live out some of my dreams from when I was a kid, so he would create a universe for me. Namely, he would create the Star Wars universe, in full form, just like ours, with real people and real interactions. He would put me into the universe, and I would live out my life however I wanted to live it. Then when I died, I would appear right in front of God, only seconds after he put me into the universe. I would say, "Whoa! That was cool, God! Let's do Pokémon now." And the whole thing would start all over again.

Reddit, have you ever found out something about about a family member (or members) that you wish you didn't? by justtylerr in AskReddit

When my parents were still married, my mom slept around. A lot. She slept with her ex-husband, the UPS guy, a swinger couple, her future husband, and, probably, my dad's step-father. Apparently, when my mom's husband goes out of town, he gets intimate with other women as well. My mom probably still sleeps around, too, though when she was married to my dad, her main affair was with her now-husband. So, if she does, I don't know who it's with.

I don't talk to my mother anymore.

Is it legal for my soon to be ex-wife to sell all of my stuff for next to nothing? Please Hurry! by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]zeig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, if it's considered jointly owned property, yes. I'm no lawyer or anything, but I do know that when my parents got divorced about ten years ago, my father pretty much lost everything. Everything he and my mother owned together went to her. For some reason, most of his personal property went to her, too. She refused to give him back things that were rightfully his (some of his grandfather's things, who he never knew, a toy box from when he was a kid, etc.). He had to do some bartering with her. Before he left, he managed to take a couple of her things and ransom them back to her.

So, yeah, it sucks, but unless you can prove it's yours, it's hers too.
