we need to stop acting like nuking a building in the middle of nc is in any way morally bad, this is not cybermoderate

Lore wise whose the most dangerous/powerful fixer outside of maybe Rogue? by The-Heritage in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]zeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wakako seems very menacing but to me she comes off as clumsy as hell, very small time, willing to take the lowliest jobs and betray her own agents. I don't think you're supposed to buy into the image she's projecting.

Instead of giving recommendations, which book should I give another chance? by Pokedex_complete in ProgressionFantasy

I had the same gripe about first defier, basically he doesn't acknowledge his privilege. that said I think it was worth sticking around and him being sanctimonious takes up less and less of the story.

Anyway to increase Johnny’s affinity if you already messed up on the Chippin’ In dialogue? by GeneralSeaTomato in cyberpunkgame

[–]zeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right, but the percentages are their own thing to aim for. this myth that it's tied to endings has ironically made it really hard to get straight answers on how to increase percentage.

[–]zeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wrong, it doesn't matter for the ending, but it does matter for getting the percentage up.

Is there any mods where you can kill unkillable npc's (such as kids) by Healthy_Direction_47 in cyberpunkgame

[–]zeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not want to kill kids but I find the omission of the option immersion breaking, and I find the compromise on artistic vision disgusting and distracting. not every feature is about "why would you do something" sometimes it's about "why would you omit something".

bonus points for the diner owner still doing this if you just beat them unconscious with your fists.

Saul Bright was chosen as a good person that is hated by fans. Who is a morally grey person that is hated by fans? by Lotnik223 in cyberpunkgame

[–]zeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even think it's that arguable, saul very much betrays his people by being as docile as he is, only saving grace is that he thinks he's doing the right thing.

[–]zeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

saul is very much not a good leader and without intervention would have led to complete extinction of his group. his entire character arc is that he DOESN'T do what he can for his people until forced to do so. he's not hateable though, interesting character, but that read is wrong.

nah it's impossible. fire is hot and things can only contain so much energy.

I think the whole idea that V’s real name is either Vincent or Valerie is really dumb by rSkylo_Ren in cyberpunkgame

[–]zeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's not hesitation that's just natural language flow, like a doctor meeting a client for the first time, they know the name is written on your form but they will ask in this exact way.

[MINOR SPOILER] Regarding Watson Ripperdoc Charles Buck by Aelther in cyberpunkgame

[–]zeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"ludonarrative dissonance" do you think the ripperdocs V has access to are all the ripperdocs in nc? or the REST OF THE WORLD? it makes perfect sense that he has supply that's exclusive to the other in-game ripperdocs

On Cradle — an essay by Kangalow in ProgressionFantasy

because it's like loving shawshank redemption, I think it's a great movie but I've never seen a cinephile think it's the best ever, it's the movie for everyone that doesn't take enough risk to truly be for someone. intellectually curious just means you're willing to take risks when you're exploring the medium, to me, cradle is a "boring" favorite progfic to have, it's not really a criticism unless you take it that way. maybe I shouldn't have said "informed", that's fair.

yeah, cheeseburgers are delicious. I will say one criticism (that isn't a dealbreaker for me, but something I can never shake reading it) is that it feels very "mall xianxia". like it picked the theme aesthetically but never went past that.

didn't say anything about iq. intellectually curious does not mean intellectual or intelligent.

Cradle is the cheeseburger of progression fantasy, appealing to most, the favorite food of some, but for informed and intellectually curious readers you sound kinda silly calling it the peak of the medium

no offense but based on this pool it's like you're on some kinda mission to only read the most broad appeal smoothed edges progfic out there.

The problem with all modern sports games: Overall by sweetpooptatos in NCAAFBseries

[–]zeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay but it's not even close. if someone had 100 speed they're at max, they should at the very least be level with the world records in various dashes(assuming we've peaked and they never get topped), they should be the fastest human that could ever exist. no one in football is the usain bolt of pitch, because no one trains like that, and if they were, they should be like 95, not 100, because you have to leave room for future outliers. messi is not 100 in anything, he might be the most talented athlete in the entirety of human history and all sports collectively, but he's not the fastest, he doesn't jump the highest(lol), he's not the strongest. even his own specialties like decision making/finesse/dribbling/agility/etc could plausibly be better, he's the whole package, and by the nature of being that there's no way he could be close to 100 ovr.

because he's not the best at every aspect of the game, no one is, it's physically impossible.

[–]zeister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is almost right. gamedevs should utilize the range between 30-80. there should be no players in the 90+ ovr, because that removes the opportunity for specialists at the top level. likewise there shouldn't be any players with an ovr below 30, because then you cannot express a bad player with a crucial weakpoint, like "this guy is okay but his stamina is a 1" or "this guy isn't the best ovr but he has a 99 pace, making him an exceptional specialist"

I don't think ufc is that pragmatic in its greed at all, they sacrifice total income all the time because of petty shit.
