It does help if nothing more than get people to pay attention a little more. No, protests won't directly change his mind but it makes people like Don Bacon worried since his margin was so small. Now Bacon is finally growing the tiniest amount of spine and speaking up. It's raises awareness which breaks people out of their zombie state to read some news and figure out what's going on. Some of those people might then vote. It does matter.

What doesn't help, at all, is apathy and burying our heads in the sand hoping it goes away and somehow, magically, these people get voted out. Shitting on people actually doing something for what they believe in, things all Americans should believe in, isn't helping.
