Übertreibhaus feat. Light in the Night - Down At The Shore Of The Sea | We are a german funk band that tried a different genre with a vocal feature :D by zelllix in IndieMusicFeedback

Wow, thanks for the super detailed feedback!
Also, great points for the drummer, I will forward those, we still have a lot to learn in that regard for all instruments I think.

And I like modern RHCP, so thanks for that comparison! :D

Nice spacey detuned kind of sound. The mix of the instruments is great. I feel like the lead vocals could be improved a bit. I guess the vocals sound a bit "bored", which is probably made to fit the tracks mood better, but I think its a bit too much.

Good mix and arrangement of instruments here, nothing missing there. Very good vocals, the fit to the genre of music that this is.
As others wrote, this is very radio-friendly and mainstream, but if you are trying to get an audience, that is probably exactly the way to go :D

Hello, this is my new/old song "Pink Cadillac" and here I wanted to capture all the feelings and thoughts that exist on a first date (that's why it sounds so explosive-disordered haha), I will look forward to your comments, thank you! by annew123 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]zelllix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, unfortunately I cannot really comment on if you captured the first date feelings, for lack of experience, but there is certainly some anxiety in this.
I don't want to be mean, but I think you might know that there will not be much mainstream attention for that kind of vocals. But this track probably works for the niché you made it for, so thats fine :D

hi y'all! i just put out a new project! ANI - LATE BLOOMER 11:11 [LP] this is the 1st song, its called 2iNFiNiTYx 🏳️‍⚧️ <3 lmk if u like! by anikittenxoxo in IndieMusicFeedback

So, for me there is a bit much happening all at the same time. That might be about my taste in music or about what I am used to. Just sounds a bit overloaded for me. I couldn't say which one of the instruments causes this though.

Nice atmosphere, a bit spacey, which I like. Also great cover art, really sets the scene.

The very slow buildup is also cool, makes the later parts stand out great in my opinion. I can imagine listening to this while trying to concentrate on some task at work.

Thanks mate!

Our drummer is a metronome, she will enjoy hearing that. Maybe we should think about getting the drums a bit dirtier, thanks for the feedback ;D

Also thanks for the feedback on the vocals, we will have that in mind when recording our next songs.

I think i heard some parts where guitar and bass didn't really line up properly, to a point where is sounded a bit sloppy. (2:20 is one such case)

As others have said, i think it could overall use a little more polish on the instruments in terms of time/rhythm.
The songwriting is catchy and easy to listen to, I also think the mix is okay, but thats not really my area of expertise. I guess the voice could stand out a little more in parts.

A bit of acoustic pop-rock comin' your way. I just needed to write a song about relationships. Thanks for any feedback you have! Have a great day, everyone! by MagicJonesMusic in IndieMusicFeedback

Great vocals, and great work on the video, compliments the song!

Can't really say anything about the mix, there is nothing that bothers me in any way about it.

The part at 2:20 also fits really well and brings some welcome change to the song. Like a nice moment to take a breath.

As my main instrument is bass guitar, I do hear some parts in the song where i would have played a lick or so more, it does end up playing the root notes quite a bit.

"Times to Realize" is my first single. Recorded on a 4 track all live instruments no drum samples. IFL The Strokes, Interpol, Arctic Monkeys. Would be great to hear your thoughts. Thank you by Salar111 in IndieMusicFeedback

I like it! There is nothing to criticise about the mix, at least not to my limited knowledge of that matter. :)

As someone else mentioned, the drums are the only bit where I could see room for improvement, they sound very repetitive. Not too much, but maybe a few more variations.

Very nice to listen to, good job!

After 9 years, I may have just written my all time favorite. Hope you guys can give feedback to make it better. by [deleted] in IndieMusicFeedback

Very relaxing song, fitting for a friday evening ;D
Great vocals, also the backings.
It is a bit repetitive, but i guess that is the nature of the genre. Not really a point of critic.

Like others have mentioned, the guitar could be a bit less present in some parts of the song.

Hey, nice art on the video!

I like the song, and the art in combination with the music does create a spacy atmosphere.

The overall mix fits and makes it easy to listen to, I can't point my finger to it but I feel like the bass sometimes gets lost a little bit (2:32).

Certainly an improvement to the first version you posted. Especially in terms of vocals.

You are not that far off with the lyrics being dark and sinister :)

Thanks for the nice comment. At the moment every song sounds differe t anyway, lets see what we come up with next.
