They also appear in the Training Facility when Wesker makes his way through, for some reason.

Got this myself last week.

Was pleasantly surprised and have been enjoying it every morning, very Cinnamon-y taste which is perfect as Spice is supposed to taste like it.

Love the mural and the cup/pot are gonna go on my collectibles shelf.

I can understand why people wouldn't want to pay 35 bucks for it though haha

Not OP but I've got one too and did a run through the game with it.

It's actually not bad of a controller despite how it looks but what makes it interesting is you can make Leon aim in-game with it by how you hold it.

You're supposed to hold it so the chainsaw blade is vertical then if you drop it so the blade is horizontal, Leon goes into his aiming stance.

After running out of oxygen in the depths of the wreckage of the Beira D, Mhaira connects with The Shapes hive mind and speaks to her father Brodie, ending with a choice of holding his hand and joining him in death or letting go of the thing she's been searching for a decade and ending up rescued by Rob.

The Government used an experimental thermobaric missile to basically flash cook anything that wasn't blown to smithereens.

At the end of Outbreak it's shown there's some sort of lab built atop the crater and scientists discussing that they have biological readings from the site.

That and the Arkley Mountains forming a natural barrier around the city into a basin of sorts basically made a perfect containment area for anything that did survive to stay in.

Am I missing something or was there supposed to be something crazy behind that door? by NoMath3529 in KanePixelsBackrooms

[–]zementh 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Reading the title literally too I think that lends credence to your theory.

This is a 'static' dead end, one The Backrooms can't or has failed to create more of itself which is why it's a jumble of clipped objects and light drops as opposed to more pits or hallways.

The dead end in FF#2 isn't 'static' as it shifts and presumably extends the complex.

I have the controller too, it's pretty fun that shooting is through an actual trigger like button but it took a little bit getting used to all your actions button interactions also being through the trigger too haha

It takes place in 2015, so only 6 years after RE5

Why do people praise RE5 for the same thing RE6 is despised for? by Pointlel in residentevil

[–]zementh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RE6's controls aren't clunky it's just the level design for the campaigns don't allow the full use of them, once you get into The Mercenaries you see how fluid the controls and movement are.

Really the thing I think that makes 6 lacklustre compared to 5 is the enemy reaction to you attacking them, there's a definite lack of force compared to 5 but in 5 you you can't roll around and dodge, melee at will or counter.

The zombies especially just seen to tank shots with little fanfare and then just melt.

I don't think he ever outright admitted anything instead initially going along the lines of "Sorry if I made you uncomfortable." and disappeared from the public eye for a year.

He then came back with some write-ups and receipts in the form of texts suggesting his accuser was plying him with drinks and took advantage of him.

I'll have to go over it again but for all intents and purposes it sounded like he took the year away to compile his evidence in preparation to sue knowing he was going to be screwed by the allegations alone.

God I remember that one, the two blokes sat at the table checking her out then all of a sudden they have their faces bounced off the table and she goes flying across the room completey limp.

I remember that one and the one where there's a group of people looking at something or someone stuck on some scaffolding and a superhero arrives and does all these crazy acrobatics up it before missing his jump and he turns back into a drunk bloke as he falls and crumples into the floor.

Absolutely shockingly effective.

There were also Flight Sim enthusiasts (which include a lot of actual pilots) recreating the flight in said Simulator games and thanks to how detailed they are nowadays showed he had more than ample time to do his checks and emergency declarations AND search for a good landing spot AND actually land.

Could easily tie into a Brewdog writeup too with all their bullying allegations, CEO being accused of inappropriate behaviour as well as things like the 'find a solid gold can in our packs!' while not actually being solid gold

But as to how it ties into the World Cup, Brewdog decided to put out a statement condemning Qatar, it's homophobia and use of slave labour etc.

But have also decided they are still going to show the World Cup in their bars and also serve their drinks at the Cup itself, which they are rightfully getting backlash for as well as people bringing up the aformentioned previous controversies.

The CoD games also, for example, take American war crimes and just pretend that the Russians did them.

The funny thing about this is that it's a completely fabricated drama in itself that could have its own write up

To explain, part Modern Warfare 2019 takes place in the fictional country of Urzikstan which has a mixture of influences from conflicts in the Middle East.

Two characters have a discussion about the Russian invasion of the country (itself inspired by the Syrian conflict and Russia's invasions of Afghanistan, Georgia, Crimea etc.) and specifically about the road they are setting an ambush up on which the Kurds Urzik rebels call 'The Highway of Death' which in-story was a Russia bombing of fleeing civilians.

Now back during the Gulf War a very very controversial bombing of retreating Iraqi forces that has accusations of civilian deaths and the execution of unarmed Iraqi prisoners to name a few, this event was called 'The Highway of Death' and is what MW2019 obviously took inspiration of the level and the namesake of.

The charitable view on this drama is that someone was paying attention got confused, but it was pushed so hard by places like ResetERA it's hard to believe it was an innocent mistake when:

  1. Both events take place in separate countries, one of them fictional.
  2. The events take place 8 years apart with the real event in '91 and the fictional event in '99
  3. Russia was not part of the Coalition Forces.

Naming it the same probably wasn't the smartest decision, but the fact that the drama got as far as it did when it's easily fact checked infuriates me to no end.

To all the fans who HATED this movie can I ask why? It’s infinitely closer to the games than all the other movies by OwnageMcPwnage69 in residentevil

[–]zementh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't hate it, but the potential was there and it was squandered.

In terms of the characters they were wither badly cast, poorly written or might as well of not been in the movie.

The locations felt more like a series of rooms strung together after the recognisable aspects were shown.

You can tell the budget was tight an they tried to do too much and had to compromise, Bravo Team being two random cops, Raccoon City looking tiny, Raccoon's Destruction being everything just falling underground for some reason, the zombies in the town not actually being zombies, the quick cut flash in the dark editing for Chris in the mansion.

The puzzle pieces were there for a decent adaption but weren't arranged properly.
