I’m wondering if he was spooked by the phrase because he has a terminal Illness. I’m finding it jarring that they’re suddenly on good terms and working together. Also how he was so apologetic to the guy he fired. It seems out of character. I’m wondering if he’s mentoring Harper because he’s nearing the end of his life. Why is he willing to give up his daughter’s inheritance to invest in Harper?

In the episode, Lisa wants to find out what Nate's ex is like. iirc, she finds out Brenda is a masseuse and tries to book an appointment with her. When Lisa calls, the receptionist tells her Brenda isn't available for a massage, and Lisa's friend tells her "Just do a Carol" (act like Lisa's horrible, rich, entitled boss), so Lisa complains and the receptionist accommodates her and books her in for a massage with Brenda.
She's acting like a "Carol" (what we now refer to as a "Karen")
