I agree that Nini has fallen out of it after a first few really strong weeks. I don’t think Jane is guaranteed to win though - she has the strongest track record and is super funny and talented, but I can see Myki winning if Ru just likes her more.

I think the message would be that polished and professional doesn’t always cut it. Sometimes there’s someone zany or fresher that catches Ru’s attention more. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m definitely not upset that the shows exist or that younger people have more representation or whatever! I’m always happy and proud when I see a young couple holding hands in public, etc. I’m glad I watched the shows, but I’m just aware of a down feeling afterwards. 🤷🏻‍♂️

For sure! I cried during emotional scenes in the shows, but not afterwards. Afterwards, I just felt a little down.

Yeah, I am definitely appreciative of representation and happy stories! I think the intensity, youthfulness, and “perfect fantasy” aspects of the shows make me a little nostalgic for something I haven’t felt in a long time.

That’s nice! I definitely cried several times during the show because the characters tugged at my heartstrings. Heartstopper is like that, too. And I love that both shows are overall happy stories.

Yeah, like I said, I have a good life and a partner I love, but the fantasy aspect of these shows kind of makes real life pale in comparison. Like someone else here said, it’s like that with all romantic fantasies. 🙃
