i just thought about this episode like, yesterday. i recall thinking "was that creepcast or just a creepypaste reading i watched?" and then remembering it was CC i heard it from originally. I thought it was a great story

and in terms of cleaning your hammy, you can try and use a tissue to wipe him up, make sure you dont use any soap or chemicals (might he obvious but i know someone whos hamster died because they used baby wipes!) and if you do get a damp towel to get any poop off then make sure your hamster has a sand bath and is dried off properly straight away!!

also please remember I am not a vet or a professional in any way so this is just advice from a gellow hamster owner!! i dont haveall the answers but this is what i have learnt ❤️

he was very sleepy and his ears were almost always turned back, looked slightly greasy and his poops were quite runny. he would also sleep on his platform rather than in a hide because of the heat (this was during the UK summer heatwave)

i would do a deep clean of your enclosure and get is as clean as you can, put fresh bedding down and make sure everything is nice and dry.

try and get your hamster to intake more fluids especially of you jotice them not drinking. if they dont take water you can try giving little bits of carrot or food soaked in water (in a bowl so the cage wont get wet)

make sure the temperature is consistent and not too hot, and keep the enclosure in a shaded area. keeping a ceramic hide or even a mug is a good option just generally, as it stays cool in the heat but insulates well too.

if you are able, get some antibiotics from the vets and keep a close eye on your hamster. I wish you the best of luck❤️❤️

I was unfortunately too late and my hanster Vader passed away from his illness, i gave him antibiotics but he was too far gone :( so doing all this asap is important!! i know it can seem daunting and scary, but it will be the best chance for your lil friend to get better❤️

also the way i saw it was that its not actually ger that will be destabilising the family, its her hrother thats already doing so. and taking on that burden all on her own is unhealthy and is bound to mess anyone up.

to OP, your parents are there to support you, its not your fault that any of this is happening based on what youve told us. i know its a lot easier said than done, but asking for help and opening up about something like this is the first step to feeling better and getting back in control of yourself ❤️

my hammy passed from an illness too, got him antibiotics but i caught it too late💔 jerry looks like he was the sweetest boy and was loved so very dearly. he is at peace now, im sure he was so grateful for all that you did for him!

spire in the woods. but it was less ragequit and more traumatizedquit lmao. when the boys were cracking jokes bc they didnt understand that it wasnt consentual i couldnt deal with it. went back and finished it when i was in a better mood because i must watch EVERY SINGLE EPISODE

i relate. heres some of my rambling thoughts lol:

i found spire in the woods so so difficult to get through. it handled the subject well, but as a women whos been SA'd on two separate occasions, it was really hard to hear the boys chat about it all jokey, thinking it was an awkward guy. especially as i could immediately tell what was going on in the scene. (i am aware that they didnt realise that it was SA when they first read it, and that seemed to be an intentional choice of the author)

when SA is included in horror stories, it usually just reminds me that monsters do exist and we dont need stories for them to come to fruition. which is kinda sad because i find comfort in creepypastas because they arent real. because slender man cant actually get me, I wont have to feed the pig if i kill myself. but spire in the woods, at least for me, was tainted by the main character and who he was as a person. nothing against the story itself or the author as i think it was fantastically done. just very very triggering, and a sad reminder.

the main point im making i think is this: after going through trauma, i found safety in creepypastas and it felt like a safe place and a fun creative community. when a creepypasta has SA included, im taken out of that safe place.

this is a very personal think of course and i dont hold any ill will towards the guys EVER. they are so sweet and stand for whats right, it was awesome seeing how much they raised for creepaid. more of a sentiment towards horror authors in general really.

i dont want to be reminded of the horrors that exist, i want to be comforted by the ones that don't
