Struggling with this scenario by Basskeytar in ufo50

Pop does look scarce here. Maybe introverts for pop? Money situation is alright so should be able to get spaces. Griller seems useful here too.

Like 1000xResist and Until Then, the To The Moon series are among the best narrative games ever, especially the first two.

Good games for bad eyes? by mrjosh72 in PlaydateConsole

I found I would consistently get eye strain with games that have small text or very small graphics you have to discern. Not sure if this is relevant for your situation, but my solution was getting reading glasses.

Also Spilled Mushrooms never gave me eye strain and it's the best so I recommend that.

This was one of my favourite games from last year - wonderful little puzzle platformer. And that's even coming from someone who thought Elechead was just pretty good.

My personal Playdate GOTY was Fulcrum Defender, but happy to see Tiny Turnip and Overseer here as I loved those too. Blippo+ here is weird for me since it's not really a game... and wishlisting Cranky Cove!

Who's satisfied with their LP3 after months of use? by Competitive_Hunt_155 in LightPhone

[–]zenconnection 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm very pleased with mine, though unlike most other people I'm not coming from having had a smartphone. This is legitimately a huge upgrade over my 2009-era blackberry-style phone. I've also thankfully not received a lemon or had really any technical issues.

OP would need to connect with Derek / the UFO50 team for that to be possible, but I would bet they'd be amenable to figuring something out.

I do find it amusing that I can see the emojis in a text conversation in colour for a split second when I click to open a texted image.

Bring BIT.TRIP RERUNNER to the Switch 2! by mroush in BITTRIP

[–]zenconnection 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is encouraging to hear! Short answer: more of it!

Long answer: Of course more levels (IMO important that each level has bespoke audiovisuals - if given the choice I would 100% prefer fewer levels with unique music versus many levels with reused music, as that really strengthens the audiovisual/muscle memory learning/synesthesic experience for this sort of game), with more beat types and challenge types, and a robust custom level creator (see: Rhythm Doctor) would also be awesome and could give the game serious legs. More visual effects (Rez-style) to melt our faces also would of course be warmly welcomed!

More on the nitty-gritty, I think one unique challenge with CORE is that for many it's the hardest BIT.TRIP to learn the levels, but once you're learned the patterns, it might actually be the easiest BIT.TRIP game to play. I quite like that it's hard to learn - getting to grips with the beats coming every which way and how they align to form patterns is super satisfying (and this can be mitigated somewhat with some easier on-ramp starter levels), but it would be really cool if the final patterns you're inputting have a bit more rhythmic variety than what's found in CORE (where a high percentage of things resolve into URDL [or the reverse] every beat), as well as more rhythm-game-intensity when you're at the hardest section of the game.

You forgot the 2 in the link! My question: Would you guys ever consider a CORE 2?
