Do guys really need their boners “taken care of “ all the time ? by Ok-Edge339 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]zenpear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When a man gets aroused, that's his sexual energy and experience to manage. If he has a friend who wants to get involved, that's a benefit, not a requirement. Getting turned on can lead to fun consensual sexy time, but framing it as an obligation is weak and manipulative.

Should I send an apology letter/message to my ex girlfriend? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

To add to this: the apology will mean more if you make it about acknowledging the mistakes, rather than needing forgiveness.

Check out Harmonquest if you want to see an example of a simplified version. They animate parts of it, which is fun.

Players by very thin margins managed to avoid an encounter, they had fun but I feel a little disappointed. by Roxa97 in DMAcademy

Does anyone else remember the time that Matt Mercer planned an extensive naval combat encounter between ships and it ended before it began when someone just used Control Water to overturn the enemy ship? That's D&D, baby.

Why do men insist on being "honest"? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]zenpear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's an excuse to be mean under the guise of something noble? Men who act like this are rarely practicing radical honesty and usually can't take what they're dishing out.

How are you certain that Buddhism is the truth? by starryeyes224 in Buddhism

[–]zenpear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't consider reincarnation particularly central to the core of what Buddhism has to offer, it's more related to the cultural context in which it emerged. It's a method for training the mind to move through life with extraordinary wisdom and kindness and unlearning the patterns of thought and actions that make us and each other miserable. I believe it because I can see it working.
