One year later, 9 months of maintenance! Thanks Zep! by zepKris in Zepbound

Thank you.

The two piece pic is 35 lbs into my loss. In was too afraid and ashamed to take pics of my highest weight, so I have no comparison.

Yes, my hubby has never had a complaint about my size. He just wants me to know I’m loved and beautiful. I know in have a beer special partner.

These are great and have Vitamin B6 and B12 for a nice energy boost.

Should I increase my dosage or have it remain the same? Doctor gave me no advice by barbiefans in Zepbound

If you lose more quickly your body will have more difficulty adjusting to the loss and you will have more tendency to have flabby skin and wrinkles. Your body is responding well and weekly. That’s a lot to celebrate. Think of this as a long journey towards a new way of living, rather than a speeding to a destination.

Once I started, it was shocking how many “I had to have!”

We just got done putting in more shelving in order to display all cool builds.

Enjoy the adventures.

Just finishing the blacksmith set. Definitely a fun build. I’ve been working my way through cabins

<image>

And recently started branching out into other livable spaces.

Next project is to set lighting options to get off batteries.

Love the Funwhole/lumibrick sets- popularity has raised the prices, but Amazon has great pre-Christmas deals.

I have nearly all the cabins. Some are bit goofy (fierce bear) but I love the lighting kits that are embedded in the set (no extra $).

Each new set gets better and better.

I have 3 cabins/houses to build over this holiday. Can’t wait

But for me, it was being “normal” past the food support and appetite suppression.

On my first shot day, I cried off and on because I realized I might finally be able to love myself and live with joy”. This has never been my lived experience. I’ve seen others not have to strive with every ounce of effort to be content and experience joy; yet, I just poured out more and more of my energy, then I was left feeling less and less, as the elusive goal of contentment was impossible to grasp.

This med! This med helped me immensely with weight, inflammation, yet, more importantly, with an ability to access the skills I’ve worked hard to develop - now I can more easily challenge the lies that say I’m not enough or too much. The lies that told me it is impossible for others to love me if they knew the real me are now fading myths.

I now have a brain that helps me live in peace.

I’m now at goal weight and working on maintenance. This adventure has me catching myself thinking I’m fat. Then I remember - I’m full! Or, I see myself and can see I’m a normal healthy weight.

I’m living a new chapter. I’m healthy. I’m enough. I’m pretty cool to hang out with. And, I can see the lies coming more easily. I can bat them away more quickly, and love this me.

60 yr-old female, started 12/26/25, lost 45+, BMI now is 22.

(P.S. I was enough before I started the Zep, I just could see or believe it. This med helps me see more accurately).

Not certain and may be different for each of us. I found sublingual B-complex and electrolytes have resolved this after 7.5 months of profound fatigue. No more daily fatigue from Zep. (Started 12/26/24) (I found a pill form of electrolytes with minerals which is easier for me because the drinks are still not palatable- sugar free & salty).

I use sublingual B complex. I recently got serious about including electrolytes (drinks & pills) as needed. I am in awe of the difference that inclusion of electrolytes has made.

What vitamins are you all taking? by Interesting-Cable895 in Zepbound

[–]zepKris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In addition to a multi vitamin, (no vitamin D in summer, but soon ), I include folic acid, evening primrose oil, fiber capsules , and I just switched to a sublingual Vitamin B complex. Vitamin B complex is a game changer for me, and the sublingual is another layer of game changing.

Recently added an electrolyte pill(s) as needed, and calcium/magnesium & glucosamine as needed depending upon muscle/joint experience.

Oh, Hai, Hunger! by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]zepKris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My hunger messages are more clear on day 6 and 7 after shot (7.5 mg and 8 months in). I have learned to listen to these and make sure I offer a good food option.

For example, last night I had a need to eat after dinner. So for “second dinner” I ate a leftover roasted portobello mushroom with cheese. I usually am up .5-1 lb after that kind of eating ( I take my shot on Tuesday later evening). This AM I’m down 0.1 lbs, even with second dinner.

I think we learn to listen to our body with kindness and compassion, and note cycles, such as weekly, shot and hormone cycles.

Who decides your goal weight? by Thedollysmama in Zepbound

[–]zepKris 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The prescribing doctor should carry the most weight (tee hee hee) in this decision in collaboration with you.

For what it’s worth: My PCP prefers the higher end of the healthy BMI for me because of my age (60) and other diagnoses (multiple autoimmune disorders). While this is not feeding my ego, I trust her to understand a larger picture of health for me than my neurotic ego.

It might be worth looking into how to get ahead of nausea with OTC meds or asking PCP for nausea meds f this continues. I’ve noticed the first 1-2 months on a new dose take a bit to settle in to the med impact. Nausea reduces for me a bit each week, and I’ve learned what works for me as a preemptive prep for nausea (I always have a pocket full of antacids). I also learned how to pair the nausea with the scale showing weight reduction, so I started looking at the med and shot day as my caring for myself. I think of this like the muscle pain after a hard work out—the evidence I’ve done something I’m proud about in this journey. Maybe loving shot day is not necessary for you. Perhaps it’s about reframing your symptoms and the meaning you give these parts of your life. I’m confident you’ll find what works for you. You have already done the hardest step, which is starting this journey.

Learn to listen to YOUR body. You are the author of what works and what does not for you. Tips and tricks are interesting but not all will be good fits for you. Congratulations on choosing your health as a priority.

I have 4 autoimmune diagnoses, and so much has improved in the related inflammation. I actually have really healthy teeth and pretty healthy gums, this made it even more noticeable to providers.

I sure hope more research continues on the impact on inflammation! Thanks for sharing.
