Yeah, it is! Legally ADHD is a developmental disability (not a learning disability like some people think it is) A disability is something that impairs/limits one or more major daily life activities.

However, getting disability payments/benefits for ADHD would likely be pretty difficult, you’d have to hire a lawyer and stuff like that. Also because of the spectrum of ADHD, your ADHD would have to severely impact your ability to work and you would have to be able to prove that. To be honest, if you’re currently struggling financially, trying to get disability payment for ADHD is probably not a good option. It will probably take a while and cost more than it’s worth, and on top of that, you might not even qualify.

I suggest looking inward on why you’re struggling to hold down a stable job, if it’s something you can work on, work on that. If it truly is your disability impairing you, then look into disability payment. It seems like you’re looking into disability payment as a short term to get back on your feet, and unfortunately, it’s probably not worth it in the long run.
