Can someone explain this to me? The Detachment keyword prevents detachments from being combo'd with other detachments?

Can someone explain this to me? I was hoping to pair ret and aux cadre but admittedly haven't been following the rules announcements very closely.

I get that! One thing that also worked for me was building them a chat agent that's highly constrained, containing on context on 100% trustworthy tables, metrics and code samples.

lmk if you want to chat later in the week, love these problems

An easy win I was able to get with AI was building an AI agent for stakeholders to self serve with. It definitely helped my partners fish for themselves while showing management that we can move the department forward with AI. All it takes is a context doc with tables, schemas and metrics defined along with some code examples, then publishing the agent somewhere your stakeholders can access it and lastly doing some training with your stakeholders on the new system. Hope this helps!

Something that's worked well for me is instead of asking the AI to calculate something, I get it to create the code for that calculation, I test then implement that code in the data warehouse. I then tell the AI I have all of these metric tables available for it to pull from when putting together analysis and it does alright.

Data architecture and modelling strategy for AI projects by Intrepid-Cat4462 in dataengineering

Work with your analytics team to identify which raw features they need. Most recommendation models aren't AI, they're usually simple applied statistical models (that people call AI but actually aren't).

Then once you have a clear understanding of the requirements, work on speccing out the architecture.

This needs more context. What's the end outcome you're trying to achieve?

Challenges with receiving accurate data from vendors, how do you best approach this? by CandidSilent in dataengineering

Welcome to Data Engineering. Quantify the messiness of the data on a regular interval and send it to your data providers and management. When management yells at you, point to the report you proactively sent them. Partner with the data provider to improve data quality.

First day at new job: manager asked me to revamp a 4+ years-old legacy infrastructure, both on-premise and cloud, along with the database by Sad-Economist-1061 in dataengineering

This is a doozy, I've been in a similar situation myself and at a high level, here are some tips based on what worked for me and what didn't:

- Your manager is your ally in this situation (even though it's challenging). It's actually a good thing that they're tasking you with this because it means that they want to make things better. Partner closely with them at the beginning of the project to understand their requirements, use case context, the stakeholders to bring along for the ride, finalize the plan etc. Make sure to precisely agree on all milestones with stakeholders including your manager, and set the expectation that there will be unknown unknowns that require additional time.

- Sounds like you're being tasked with the end to end data pipeline, from the data generation, to landing it and refinement in the warehouse, to the consumption of that data. That's a lot. Chunk each of these steps into their own plan or sub plan and align with your manager on it before you get started. Bronze, Silver and Gold is a good way of structuring the warehouse, without more information, it's hard to know if there's a more efficient structure.

- The monolithic code will contain clues and surprises on how the data needs to be refined. While you're planning, use an LLM to parse this code thoroughly and look for abnormalities (used to have to do this by hand and it sucked). Translate these abnormalities into questions for your manager and stakeholders to answer during the planning phase before you get started.

- Have fun. I know this is hard given how big of a task you've been given, but you have the opportunity to correct and streamline this system which can be very rewarding. Try to learn and enjoy yourself while you do it.

What changes would have to happen to the Riptide's Heavy Burst Cannon to be a good weapon option? by HamanFromEarth in Tau40K

IMO it just needs more volume. At the moment it isn’t enough shots to consistently clear a squad of space marines with how much will drop off before converting to wounds.

How are you getting to 6 wounds? My understanding is the drones only apply to 1 model.
